Airdrops in 2021: “here are some newly minted tokens to play with, stake, or sell on our brand new platform. We hope you enjoy the user experience.” Airdrops in 2024: “Here are 28 arbitrary tasks you must complete in the next 20 hours so that we can fake engagement & exaggerate on-chain activity. Right before you get your tokens, verify all of your social media handles & IP address. Platform isn’t ready yet, but will be sure to send you your tokens eventually. Also, if you are American, go screw yourself.”

There is a meme coin named after a town in America on Solana that does more volume on a daily basis than most Cosmos chains. And its a small town from North Carolina.

@rekt_colbear Sometimes, multiple steps might be legitimately sensible. But why necessitate requirements gathering from third parties? Is it a matter of "devs built it but too shy to market it and too broke to buy marketing"? Bollocks. Communicate in-app. Simple often beats complex.

for something that pricey I think the community & founders should bring in further increased value organically vibe hard & make others want to FOMO. bring the passive airdrops to me I don't want keep clicking buttons, connecting wallets, other mindless shit for rest of my life

maybe it's just me but if I buy an expensive NFT worth $1k or more, I don't want to have to engage in continuous manual labor in order to get the most value from it. anything where I have to go in everyday to click, claim, swap traits, other bs, is a big NO GO for me in NFTs

2 years ago today 🤦 For those that weren't here: @cosmosimpulse/summary-and-timeline-of-events-juno-prop-16-and-prop-4-514850a40112" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@cosmosimpulse… So much energy and time wasted, so many people misled. I applaud everyone who is still trying to carry $JUNO forward, despite junoswap, $RAW, wynd, etc. And what happened to @takumiasano_jp?

The average bear market survivor with PTSD will sell to early and the average newbie won’t sell. The overwintered diamond hands will take everything. That’s how this game works. Making % is easy, but after the bull you will be left with a -90%.

@WosmoInu Slide a piece of paper under those glass doors to trigger the camera on the other side, unlocking the doors. There, you can proceed to paint the rock.

@gadikian Actually @gadikian the more I think about this the more I disagree. If you're the target user base to receive an airdrop (or claim drop), then you 100% have the right to claim. Definitively. What it isn't, though, is a guarantee that you'll claim.

@gadikian I'm not against some gamification to build interest. But the lack of "in-app" execution seems nascent.

@gadikian New macOS security updates are distributed in-app, though installing those is the user's choice. Mac users visiting random Twitter posts to learn about security updates isn't required. High-touch claim drops with exclusivity is just unclean.

@CryptoChem0000 @BetterCio @wormholecrypto Expecting people to pay attention to select social platform accounts and react with XYZ steps for a claim drop is honestly a week model. Add a small window and it's laughable. Zero chance this approach scales at real-world size.

Cosmos folks feel like they are missing out on meme coins. Cosmos folks fail to appreciate that for a meme coin to really happen in Cosmos the key thing would be getting Levana, Osmosis, Astroport, UX , Skip API etc etc to all support a single meme coin around launch. Right now none of the Cosmos meme coins are wrappers around Cosmos tech in the way Solana meme coins wrap Solana protocol tech .

@TeamKujira Why does the Orca UI... 1. Not allow a sort on the "My Bids" field? 2. Not have a "my activity" dashboard? If a bid fulfills, how are users supposed to know? Would raise an issue on your github but ....
