Let me show you what "cultural" erases. 1934: Federal Housing Administration introduces redlining. Black neighborhoods systematically denied mortgage access for three decades. 1944: GI Bill passes. Administered in ways that systematically exclude Black veterans from the same benefits white veterans received. 1968: Fair Housing Act passes. By this point, the wealth gap produced by thirty years of exclusion is structural and self-perpetuating. 1971: Nixon declares War on Drugs. His own policy chief later admits on record it was designed to target Black communities. 1986: Crack sentenced 100 times more harshly than powder cocaine. Same drug. Different community. Different sentence. 2026: The neighborhood built by these policies is still poor. You look at the neighborhood and say: culture. I look at the list and say: policy. One of us is reading the history.

You see this kind of thing in struggling lower-income Southern households, and it tells a very specific story. When life hasn't delivered much.... no wealth, no power, no real social standing.... some folks discover that white supremacy is basically a free membership card to a club that makes them feel superior without requiring any actual achievement. It's the world's laziest status symbol. The starter kit is always the same: *A Confederate flag honoring a war their ancestors lost badly 160 years ago. *A gun they'll never actually need. *A Bible they've never actually read. *And Fox News running 24/7 telling them they're REAL Americans.... unlike those fancy elitist Democrats who are secretly importing an army of replacement voters to steal their.... Their what exactly? Their Dollar General? Their 1987 Camaro on cinder blocks in the yard? FOX found the formula, and they never let go of it: Take a man who has nothing, tell him the reason he has nothing is because those people are taking it.... and suddenly he's not a struggling nobody. He's a soldier in a cultural war. He matters. He's relevant. He becomes a MAGA Warrior! And THAT.... ladies and gentlemen.... is precisely how a twice-impeached, four-times-indicted, 34-time felon, bankrupt New York con man who golfs at his own resorts became the hero of the working man. You genuinely cannot make this stuff up. And I write this so that hopefully they will recognize what they have done and what they are doing and snap out of it..... So you mean to tell me that someone down your ancestry line survived being chaıned to other human bodięs for several months in the bottom of a disease-infested ship during the Middle Passage, lost their language, customs and traditions, picked up the English language as best they could while working free of charge from sun up to sun down as they watched babies sold from out of their arms and women rapęd by ruthless sIave owners. Took names with no last names, no birth certificates, no heritage of any kind, braved the Underground Railroad, survived the Civil Wąr to enter into sharecropping... Learned to read and write out of sheer will and determination, faced the burning crosses of the KƘK, everted their eyes at the black bodies swinging from ropes hųng on trees... Fought in World Wąrs as soldiers only to return to America as boys, marched in Birmingham, hosed in Selma, jailed in Wilmington, assassinated in Memphis, segregated in the South, ghettoed in the North, ignored in history books, stereotyped in Hollywood... and in spite of it all, someone in your family line endured every era to make sure you would get here, but you receive one rejection, face one obstacle, lose one friend, get overlooked, and you want to quit? How dare you entertain the very thought of quitting. People, you will never know, survived from generation to generation so you could succeed. Don’t you dare let them down! It is NOT in our DNA to quit!
