To make sense of the world around us, we draw inference from data. Can one individual influence how another interprets data by proposing alternative explanations? I address this question in my job market paper (joint w/ @kaibarron). Thread⬇️, paper: tilmanfries.github.io/assets/pdf/JMP…

🚀 I am on the #EconJobMarket! 📜 In my JMP, I study how choosing a product shapes beliefs about product qualities, using a novel experimental design. 🌐 To read about this project or my work on Choice-induced Sticky Learning and more, visit: sites.google.com/view/gergelyha…

I love this paper. @LukeFroeb Steven Tschantz @VanderbiltU|math and I had something similar in mind in our J Law Econ @ChicagoJournals piece on adversarial decision making (back in 2016). We were not as general in our approach as @tilmanfries and Kai. Check it out (theirs!)

This JMP by @tilmanfries is very cool and shows how good researcher he is. I have worked with him for ~5 years and can tell that the one hiring him will be way too lucky. He is clever, hard-worker, very nice colleague, and very generous in contributing to other's ideas.
