In Texas yesterday, solar provided >50% of the power to the grid for much of the day.
If solar is such a bad energy source, why is Texas investing so much in it?
They have the most competitive electricity marketplace in the country, and solar is winning more and more.

I wish every transit authority understood the importance of making clear and beautiful PDF maps available to the public. Interactive maps can be fun but can also be a pain.
Bravo to @metrolosangeles for not just making the maps but making them easy to find.

@GerrikoM2M @humantransit Interactive maps don't create the same mental map in your mind. Essential for understanding space around you. I use Gmaps etc a lot, but there's no substitute for the insights a well designed static map offers.

@humantransit @metrolosangeles Curious as to what problem a PDF solves that an interactive map cannot do.
I personally find @googlemaps interactive maps incredibly helpful for both my local services and for when I'm in a new city. Unmatched.
Here's me checking my local bus service. It solved the problem.

It never ceases to amaze me how many completely different regional accents there are in the Black Country, north-east, and north-west England. That the Bolton twang of Fred Dibnah is only 20-odd miles from the Scouse of Wayne Rooney will never not be a source of wonder to me.
