For those who have been following, sending me well wishes and prayers. Today we found out that Louie has an extremely aggressive form of cancer that is working its way through his skull and into his brain. He has been with me since I was 23 and he was 12 weeks old…. he looked like he stuck his paw in a light socket and I was convinced he was definitely supposed to be mine. he has traveled the world with me for 10 years. He is my best friend. My soul cat. Radiation and cancer treatments are not an option. He will be home tonight, but the vet is not sure how long.I genuinely feel like I’m dying inside.

NEW: Harris County deputy fired and indicted after fatally shooting a man at gas station Former Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy Aileen Jimenez Barboza has been fired and indicted in the fatal shooting of Levincer Swanson on February 27, 2025. Deputies responded to Swanson damaging fuel pumps at a gas station. Swanson became combative, resisted arrest, wrestled with a deputy trying to deploy a Taser, and grabbed the deputy’s head and neck. Bodycam footage shows Barboza ordering Swanson to let go before firing one shot, pausing, then firing a second shot. She was placed on non-law enforcement duty after the incident. On March 19, 2026, she was fired after an internal review found multiple policy violations, and a grand jury indicted her for murder. Link in bio for full bodycam

They did…this was the overhaul “let’s to a mental heath questionaire every year and ask how everyone is…except when you answer honestly you get shoved into military programs that are supposed to help but don’t actually care about you as an individual…it’s just a bunch of boxes to check…and during that? your leadership and chain of command will make comments, push you out of your job, and make your life miserable for seeking help. They paper trail you and then remove you as a “failure to adapt” all for answering “yes” when asked if you need to talk to someone.
