What does it say about Hot Pod's posture towards indie podcasters that @ashleyrcarman and the @verge failed to even notice in today's Hot Pod Insider that @bellocollective is ending it's run? (The biggest indie podcast news of the week, honestly.)

@arithisandthat @ashleyrcarman @verge @bellocollective There's the hits making side of industry, and the platform side of the industry. The platform side lives on the backs of indie podcasters, and it's a disservice to them to not even notice that one of their champions .... well you know what we mean.

@timberpod @ashleyrcarman @verge @bellocollective I think while there is some overlap, many of the Hot Pod subscribers (especially insider) are focused on the business side, while Bello subscribers are focused on listening (and recommendations), and less so on the industry.

While we're on this, @nwquah used to offer ads in Hot Pod for a few hundred dollars. @TheVerge won't even talk to advertisers for less than $50,000. Guess indie podcasters will be advertising elsewhere.
