@TwistyBeard I'm the most polite cusser you can imagine! It's alway "darn!", "fudge", or even "you muddy-funster!", and that's even when I'm at home. Wouldn't want to offend the cat, after all 😂

Stopped to use the #disabled lav, but had to fight my way through a whole thicket of thistles - not good if your a #wheelchair user like me. I was so frustrated at the lack of maintenance for lesser used toilets, I took to it with just a penknife and a lot of determination. 30 minutes later, it's looking a lot better for wheelchair users. I shouldn't have to do this, but the council don't seem to give a hoot for the more out of the way facilities

@ArtfulExorcism Wouldn't need to demand it, lol! So many men for some weird reason don't like oral sex, I've never understood why - it's part of a fulfilling sexual experience

@ArtfulExorcism Sending you all the love I possibly can (and an extremely gentle hug too), I know how it is to have to push on through pain - it's a godawful burden you shouldn't have to endure. What sort of pain management would help? Anything non-surgical? 💜 xx

Right, after I visited @Primark last weekend and was told I couldn't leave the @BatecMobility mobility add-on while I wheeled round in my #wheelchair, thus I'd have to leave, I followed it up with another visit a week later and spoke with 3 staff & the manager. I recorded the conversations with my phone on my lap but the audio is terrible, so I've not put it here, however my video details the outcome of my conversations (plus an unwelcome nitwit teasing me about my wheelchair). There's also two photos showing where my Batec was parked, so you can see it's not in the way Practical upshot is that it's not an issue, the security guard lied about speaking to the manager, and I was left feeling embarrassed & ashamed for no reason. @ArtfulExorcism I used to have pen pals in Germany, Italy, and Ohio

They're escalators, so not usable in event of a fire. I did ask if I was in the way of an escape route, and confirmed I wasn't with 3 members of staff (I recorded audio, but the recording is pretty terrible). The battery is fully insulated, double fused, with a separate cut-off switch, and I completely detach it from the motor power cable of I park for any time. It's pretty much the same as on any other mobility scooter. Any fire risk is therefore just the same whether connected or disconnected - the situation is pretty much that if you're in a mobility scooter or power chair, you'd have to leave it outside if you wanted to shop there - namely impossible to do.

Heaven knows how he can sleep like that, looks bloody uncomfortable!

@ArtfulExorcism I can't even manage mini-golf (that bloody windmill is always a git). Goth club is definitely better, spent many a night out in a local one (pre-wheelchair). I only did '80s nights too before app the clubs ended up inaccessible.

@ArtfulExorcism @Primark @BatecMobility God, I look sweaty, sunburned and exhausted in that! It'd been a long (13 mile) drive on the Batec in the blazing sun to get there! Rewarded myself with a couple of beers down the pier before going back (non-alcoholic as I was driving, lol!)

Was using the public #disabled lav today, and an elderly gentleman with a walking frame kept hammering on the door saying "You're holding me up!", and "this is for older people!". Even when I exited, he said "you shouldn't take so long". I'm sorry? I'm in a bloody wheelchair - navigating an unfamiliar layout is tough enough - let alone doing the business - without you pounding away! If someone's taking time in the disabled loo, please, please don't do that!
