So sad to learn that the amazing @carolkirkwood is leaving @BBCBreakfast - we’ve worked together so many times of the last 20 odd years, but Wimbledon was always special to me.

Everyone has a plan until they double-punch on that big interview, don't realize it until they get back to the station, then hide in a camera-locker once the promo producer starts asking for the clip. Not that I've ever done that.

Son (19) in full time employment, decent wage & buying 1st car, needs £5k loan - if this is the face that “UK finance” wants to show young people there is no hope. Printing 20+ page documents at home? Who does that in 2025? A 19 year old with bank statements? Total farce!!

Our beautiful Charlie bear ❤️ After all his tests last week the doctors have confirmed he has cerebral palsy. Day one on this path with Charlie knowing we have not a road to walk but a mountain to climb is going to take all our strength and love ❤️

So it seems I’ll be weathering the rest of the storm in the BBC lift which has broken down with me inside. The good news is, it was on the way back from the vending machine so I have a Wispa. And at least it’s not windy in here.

It was genuinely fantastic to see the children’s faces as they watched Father Christmas descend through the clouds and we landed at a local primary school in Burnley.
