It's even funnier when you remember how it all started. Kimmel's "Apologies to Matt Damon, we ran out of time" was originally just a throwaway joke at the end of an episode. Damon saw it, loved it, encouraged Kimmel and the producers to keep it going, and it ended up becoming what might be the longest-running comedy bit in Hollywood. I never, EVER want this running gag to end until Kimmel retires 😂
