I travelled to the village today and I went to greet my uncle. He's my dad's immediate elder brother.
When I entered his house, I saw him putting on a city Boy's cap with the Tinubu's logo.
I asked him how he got the cap and he told me his son came back from school and gave it him. He said his son told him to vote for Tinubu and that he will vote for him.
This his son is in his second year in the university and I have been paying his school fees, right from JAMB registration till now.
This my uncle started preaching to me to vote for Tinubu. I just left with everything I came to give him and brought them back to Aba.
I called the son this evening and he confirmed that he's now a member of the City Boys. This boy has the gut to beg me for feeding money.
I just told him that he will never receive any kobo from me again and blocked him.
The father has been calling me, but my mind is made up shaa.
Before you support this wicked administration, make sure you can take care of yourself.

I like the Nigerian adverb, ‘’kukuma’’.
I kukuma know that there is a short form known as ‘’kuku’’. While it is a short form, ‘’kuku’’ cannot always replace ‘’kukuma’’ in all sentences as it gives a slight modification.
E.g I will kuku do it- (I will do it but not now)
I will kukuma do it- ( Let me just do it now )

My mother-in-law stayed with us for 4 days and noticed I hadn’t swept the house once. She called me and asked why. I told her we have a cleaner who comes weekly and he was due the next day. The way she looked at me… She asked what exactly I do that I can’t sweep as a young woman, and why I’m “wasting” my husband’s money on a cleaner for a small 2-bedroom. I was about to reply when my husband spoke. He said, “I didn’t marry her to do chores… and it’s just 20k.” she got angry, went inside, came back with a broom and started sweeping. My husband and I just raised our legs for her to pass 😭 She looked at us, dropped the broom, and walked away. She stayed in her room till evening. The next day, the cleaner came as usual… and she left shortly after without saying a word to me. It’s been months now. She hasn’t called. She doesn’t pick mine either. I’m even thinking of calling her with my husband’s phone to beg… but he says I should leave her. I don’t even know what to do anymore. Should I just let her be? Was I actually wrong?

So, there's this lady who moved into my compound a few months ago but we only started talking just last month.
We became somehow close and sometimes, before I return from work, she must have prepared food for me with her money and even rushes to welcome me (all these started after the first day she came to charge her phone inside my house though).
Today, she texted me, informing me of her birthday and sent her wishlist.
