Since a number of you have asked (and CT has announced it), it is indeed true that I've parted ways with Christianity Today. I wish all of them the best as they continue their work. I am still determining what comes next for me, so I covet your prayers and good will.

@sdesocio And then there's us weirdos who like having both the "epc" and "opc" guys here and don't want either to leave or stop being who they are.... I just kinda wish they'd talk to one another at presbytery more often.

There seems to be a group within the PCA that really would be more comfortable in the OPC but didn't land there so want to try to make the PCA more like the OPC.

I sometimes feel sorry for folks who live in parts of the country that lack access to good BBQ. For example: the Carolinas.

@nsxanders I think it shows the wide range that can fall under an unordained title. In some churches, "shepherdess" is basically a female elder. In others, it's a nice old lady who will pray with younger ladies. These are not the same thing.

@ryanburge I wonder about the generational aspect of this -- that baptisms and confirmations show an increase in young families, whereas the falloff of membership overall could be older generations and COVID membership cleanup.

Guys - did you know that in the Episcopal Church: Baptisms rose 150% between 2020 and 2023? Confirmations were up 300%? That's massive revival, right? Oh wait, during that same time membership went from 1.73M to 1.54M. A decline of 11%.
