@NHL It shows up at nhl.com/stats as the first Cradle shot goal of 2025-26. Poke, Cradle, Between Legs, and Batted were added as shot types 2-3 seasons ago. We went with cradle over lacrosse or michigan.

@MatthewColler @nacholeber At this point in its development, never ever use AI searches for sports stats research. Simple sniff test queries come out wrong all the time.

@nacholeber In terms of pass attempts, Darnold was 28% in 2024 and Murray 22% in 2024 (per Pro-Football Ref). Not 100% sure but maybe some of that is plays with Murray as a running threat built in from the shotgun

According to AI (insert asterisk), here are the “under-center” rates for Kyler Murray and Sam Darnold in 2024… Kyler 2nd yr with Petzing and Darnold with KOC. Murray- 25% (10% previous yrs) Darnold- 48% If Vikings sign Murray, adapting to his style will be a huge adjustment.

Tyler Myers, acquired by DAL, is a tall veteran two-way defenceman. Not having a great year but he's chilled out considerably and spends less time with the puck and more time using his reach on D these days. Still very turnover prone and takes a ton of penalties. #TexasHockey

I've heard the argument before for using TOI (coaches' trust = good player) but it's probably the biggest issue with CHIP. A poor man's rating could use TOI instead of points as a starting point, but if you use both, you're double counting. Further, there's reasoning to divide by TOI instead of doubling down on it.
