This is a disgrace. The Hurricanes’ owner has put the names of his wife and kids on the Stanley Cup, above all the team officials, coaches and players. Rich people doing whatever they want is a massive problem in this society. How could the NHL let this happen?

Credit to Merino getting to the loose ball but that goal is all about the backup goalie giving up a juicy rebound. Not the narrative the pbp guy is gushing.

I'm not surprised Utah matched on Hayton, as trading for Trocheck signalled they wanted to add to their centers. I've always been underwhelmed by the player but the price tag is reasonable. Could be a trade piece later. Worst case, honestly, he gets hot and they think they should re-sign him long term.

@S_Williams_Jr Why? There are times where I hear people say that a player can't be traded because he has a long-term contract or doesn't have a long-term contract. It's a rental if they trade him. Plenty of players sign after a rental as well

Once again, a player with more than enough skill to pick a corner and execute tries to be cutesy and fails. Especially when you have a good keeper, don't screw around. You give them the advantage if they outwait and outguess you. Just execute, simply.
