@bigbankcrank @TheCinesthetic OZ was great in its own right but more like Game of Thrones shock value great. The Wire is great because they develop the characters uniquely into their stereotypes. Best rewatch of any show I’ve ever seen.

The Wire (2002–2008) is essential viewing, not just for the storytelling but for how it builds an entire system piece by piece, every character, every arc, every detail serving a bigger picture that still feels unmatched.

This is exactly why we do not have a strict platoon projection on #Royals Jac Caglianone on PLive Playing Time. The reports have always been what Anne stated in her post. He will get starts vs LHP in-season. Tougher lefties were always a risk for him to sit. That is the reason behind him being labeled at "part-time" even while being placed on the bench. Can't exactly make it a 10-man lineup so this felt like a great way to portray things. (Also the notes help for that added context) prospectslive.com/playing-time/

I gotta push back on this one…via my own personal experience. I fly to and from Philly often. I found out one day, long before the shutdown, that TSA agents in C terminal start at 5am…or thereabouts. The way I found this out was by standing in line at 4:15am only to have the line not move an inch. So I found TSA Philly airport phone number and called them. To my surprise, someone answered! They told me their shift just started and the line would be moving shortly, which it did. Needless to say, I was a hero that day. Now, if I could only convince the masses that massive TSA security is no longer needed….

RE: TSA This was the TSA Pre line in Philly yesterday at 4:30 am. It went around the corner. Then around another corner. Then around another corner. And it was the PRE line, not the regular line. Yeah I know it supposedly ended today. But this is one of those rare bipartisan screwups. I don’t care what party was at fault. THIS IS ABUSE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BY CONGRESS. PERIOD. ABUSE. Next time the American people are made to suffer by Congress, Congress needs to not get paid and have all health care and other benefits cut off until the problem is solved.

When I got to the big money drafts (Mains/ACs), I had a very narrow list of closers I would draft and these players were fades at anywhere near their cost: Duran Iglesias Jax Helsley Estevez Walker Yates (and Romano) Uribe Hader Robert Garcia (and Martin) Taylor Rogers Ginkel

There was a time when Helsley was decent value. The others were mostly full fades as long as Seranthony was still available. I’m kinda hoping for full closer chaos this year. Maybe Diaz doesnt get work cuz the Dodgers are always up 4. Hoffman, Clase, and Jansen get hit hard early and often. Hader and Abreu trade save opps by mid May…making them both useless.

Just a reminder - try not to overreact to lineups and such over the weekend. Teams love to get all of their guys in there at least once in the first series so the playing time and lineup trend monitoring is limited until we get throught the first series of the season.

I think that @DraftKings @DK_Assist could fill this size of $4, 20-max on Tuesdays and Fridays. Four-Seamer is a great tournament and always fills early in the day. Hope that the contest team is aggressive with sizing it on the larger slates. Probably a pipe dream, though.

Fantasy baseball factoid #267. Everyone knows that once a batter is injured 2 years in a row and/or multiple times within the most recent season, he will continue to get injured every year at the worst possible times until he retires in shame. We call this the Kris Bryant Phenomenon.

I found myself getting outbid on many of my FAAB targets tonight and not being that upset by it, even in leagues with earlier draft dates.
