Lindsey Graham is Dead. It’s bad to speak ill of the dead, so I’ll just say while he was alive he was as horribly evil & as bloodthirsty as they come. A true demon & an enemy of humanity. As a dead guy I’m guessing he’s no better, but it’s bad form to speak ill of the dead, so I won’t.

@NolteNC You forgot to mention the truly dreadful Madonna song - possibly the worst Bond song ever

I’m watching all the Bond movies in order. Just finished Die Another Day (2002) and it has replaced The Man With the Golden Gun as the worst Bond. Halle Berry is physical perfection, but the banter is so poorly written it lets her down. She’s truly marvelous when reacting though. The caper is retarded, and the movie never comes to life. Bland villain. Worse, it’s directed and scored like an action movie, not a Bond movie. Bizarrely, it’s also (so far) the only Bond movie with a sex scene. Usually we see the preamble fall into bed and then cut to the aftermath. It was kind of sleazy. Interesting piece of trivia, the director, Lee Tamahori would be arrested in Hollywood four years later working as a transvestite hooker. He died last year at age 75. I truly dislike Judi Dench’s M. She’s so damned smug and because she’s a woman, the script demands she always outwits the guys. Boring. Can’t wait for her to die in Skyfall. The first half hour is pretty good.

@NolteNC The disco goes perfectly with the aesthetic of the film. God, it's such a good film - just thinking about it makes me want to watch it!

After Goldeneye (1995), the Bond franchise founder, Cubby Broccoli, died. The series not only lost much of its panache and entertainment value after, but the opening title songs became so damn weak. To go from Shirley Bassey and Carly Simon and Tina Turner to Sheryl Crow? Crow is fine in her arena, but not a Bond singer.

@SBarrettBar They think they're being clever, but their smug contempt is going to backfire. They may hate Farage, but they hate the people who vote for him even more. Trying to make them look stupid for supporting Farage isn't going to work. Quite the opposite

@nullpointered @justalexoki The guy on the left may need to lose a few pounds, but the guy on the right looks a creepy, self-obsessed, narcissistic, closeted gay. Is that what women like these days?

@NolteNC The Spy Who Loved Me was the first Bond film I ever watched, and it remains my favourite. Roger Moore was at his prime, Barbara Bach was a fantastic Bond girl, the action scenes are top-notch, the locations are stunning, the music is wonderful, and the cinematography is exquisite

Another Bond movie I really enjoyed this time more than previous views was The World Is Not Enough (1999). Everyone makes too much of Denise Richards as a nuclear scientist. The rest of the movie, especially the twist with Sophie Marceau is pretty great. And although it wasn’t meant to be, Desmond Llewelyn’s goodbye as Q is perfection. No one starred in more Bond movies. 17 total. Licence to Kill (1989) was franchise co-founder Cubby Broccoli’s final Bond movie and it shows. The franchise loses a lot of its panache and entertainment drive without him. Oddly enough, as the Bonds drop off, it’s Roger Moore I most miss.

From late 2026, synthetic folic acid will be added to almost every loaf of bread, every pack of flour, every pizza base in the UK. No opt-out. No label warning. No conversation about who it might harm. Here's what the headlines aren't telling you. 🧵

I’m home now. Rick Rowe, the Green Party candidate has been given my personal information by the police. He let it slip tonight, when he deliberately came to the Chiswick pub that he sent the police to who acted on his orders (see my previous video). If I do not post on here in the morning, it means that the police have again acted on the orders of a Green Party candidate and have arrested me. I hope that I am able to post tomorrow morning, but seriously, please kick up a fuss with whoever you can if you don’t see a post from me by 9am British time. Really appreciate your support in these difficult times. Thank you.

I am having a drink this evening with a friend in a Chiswick pub. Two policemen have just come into the pub and asked me to step outside. I have stepped outside and they have threatened me because I tweeted about a councillor banning seating outside pubs in Chiswick. They admit on video (watch it!) that I did not break the law at all. They came to threaten me. To warn me off tweeting about councillors and the council. This is modern Britain. This is the police state. Please, please, please watch this video. It does involve me using very bad language, but this has got to be seen. Police coming out to threaten someone who hasn’t committed a crime. I’m fuming.

@Rainmaker1973 It was very cool, groundbreaking technology, but it was an impossible game to play. It also cost a whopping 50 cents to play, whereas all the other games at my arcade cost 25. I also remember that it was often out of order

Riddle me this? How come a cameraman is at the bottom of stairs being "cleared" by "Brave British Marines?" How come he's inside rooms being "cleared" as they enter? Standing on front of presumably live weapons? What utterly embarrasing, cringeworthty staged idiocy.

Britain's opposition leader Kemi Badenoch thanked- "Brave Royal Marines" For landing unppposed on a completely unarmed civillian ship, with a civillian crew. The only thing they had to stop for, was to re-film some parts. Theatre.
