Recently, I was honored with the Persistent Advovate Award by the US PLHIV Caucus at #AIDSWatch 2024 in Washington, DC. I am humbled to receive this great honor from people living with HIV, from community, from family. Thank you to the Caucus for this honor! 📸: @AIDSUnited

@Chicago2100 @ModerateIndy Where would you put the light rail along the lake? In the median of LSD? Not opposed to the idea, I'm just having a hard time picturing it in my head.

Ok I'm coming around to the Ashland line because it honestly just does make more sense to take advantage of the Pink, Brown and UPN lines. Line Down Ashland Line down the lake starting at Broadway up north Line down Kedzie Green line Extension

@CBSMornings This conversation was about private, non-profit, four-year colleges, yet the picture you used in the background was of Mississippi State University's Swalm School of Chemical Engineering, a public, state-supported land-grant university. Make it make sense.

More than 440 of the 1,700 private, non-profit, four-year colleges in the U.S. are at risk of closing or merging within the next 10 years, according to a new projection. Roland Fryer, a CBS News contributor and Harvard economics professor, breaks down why some schools are struggling — and what students and their families should consider when choosing where to seek out higher education.

@hallowell88 @JeffO773 The difference is in this case, there's still an election that Stratton needs to win. Governor Pritzker or any other politician can endorse and financially support whoever they want in the primary. Blagojevich was taking bribes to APPOINT someone to fill Obama's Senate seat.

@JeffO773 How is this different than what Blagojevich went to prison for? He should know since he was the one trying to buy Obama's seat.

JB Pritzker cannot say he is defending democracy and at the same time thinks he can select a US Senator because "she has been loyal" . Tammy Duckworth has been offered a cabinet position if JB wins president and then he promised a congressman Tammy's seat. We need free and fair elections where Billionaires don't get to give away elected positions

@jerko131 @JeffO773 That's already a rule. That's the reason that Stratton is not running for reelection as Lieutenant Governorv and Reps. Kelly and Krishnamoorthi are not running for reelection to their House seats.

@JeffO773 We need a rule that if somebody in office runs for a different office while still in office, he or she gives up the original job if/when they lose.

@SemperCaninus I really appreciate the way he answers questions and goes about his business. I respected Coach O'Connor when he was at Virginia and the admiration has only grown since he took over leadership in Starkville.

After playing two competitive games Thursday and Friday against Lipscomb, it's likely few expected what happened late Saturday morning and early afternoon for Mississippi State at Dudy Noble Field, a 26-0 win shortened to seven innings by run rule. Getting a couple of runs in the 1st inning on a home run by Noah Sullivan, with the way he's now hitting, was not surprising. Nor was tacking on five more in the 2nd, as the Bison were getting deep into their pitching. What followed in the 3rd was a 12-run inning, followed by four more in the 4th and three more in the 5th. The only intrigue that remained after that was whether a no-hitter would be pitched, and if Gehrig Frei, the last of the starters without a hit, would get one. No, the Bison got one hit, and yes, Frei's last at-bat was a home run for the final two scores. Getting 26 runs on 20 hits, they were scattered up and down the lineup. Sullivan, who homered a second time, was 3-5 and Drew Wyers, he of the two-homer night on Thursday, also had three hits. Sullivan's six RBI were double the next closest, Jacob Parker and Ace Reese with three. Pitching was handled by starter Duke Stone, Charlie Foster, Dane Burns, and Parker Rhodes, who collectively walked only one and struck out ten. There was some bad news, as Coach Brian O' Connor reported post game that pitcher William Kirk, a transfer from Virginia who sat out last year with an injury, is again out for the season. Aidan Teel is recovering from an illness but was at the ball park today and sat in the dugout. Below are comments from Coach Oak. Comments from Stone and Kevin Milewski will follow in a separate post as soon as possible.

SS Alex Lodise — the No. 60 overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft out of FSU — is in camp as a Non-Roster Invitee this spring 👀 The 2nd-rounder getting early looks at 2026 Spring Training. Big opportunity ahead.

@FeartheChopTalk We may get to the PS, but I doubt we win another WS with him as GM. We should have more than one with this core. And this core is starting to show serious regression.

Like I said earlier in the offseason, This offseason is a failure. Can the team win? Sure. But this front office and Alex Anthopoulos refuses to put this team in the best position to succeed. It's time to have the Alex Anthopoulos discussion.

@ChoppinBravos Absolutely! AA betting on a starting rotation held together with duct tape and past injuries is MALPRACTICE!

Imagine if you had just paid a Framber or traded for Gray? You’d be fine and could just go grab a Littell. Passing every reliable arm up “trusting” the depth you had an “innings” was so stupid and we’re seeing in realtime now why. AA is bordering malpractice and ineptitude the last two offseason

@jase1129 I'm excited for the start of baseball season, but that's about it. I thought the hiring of Walt Weiss was lazy. I'm not particularly fond of any of the Braves off-season additions. I'm not happy that the Braves haven't fixed the starting rotation.

I want to ask Braves Twitter something. We have seen all of the complaints and fans who aren’t happy about not acquiring a SP or whatever the case may be. My question is, are you excited about anything? We can all complain about this or that, but are you excited about anything?

@LeslieMinesIII He was asked if he was fine to start the season as a DH instead of a full-time LF. Would you rather he lie and say he was happy about the demotion? And then Braves would say that he has no heart, no passion for the game, and doesn't really want to play.

@BraddrofliT This is an interesting take. However, a huge question remains: Can Andy Beshear win support of Black people (especially Black women) to win the Democratic primary? Especially if former VP Kamala Harris runs?

Bookmark this: Andy Beshear has the kind of cross-party appeal that wins in today’s divided America…pragmatic, calm, and focused on results. Think Barack Obama-level coalition building, but built for 2026 realities. He will be the next President of The United States

If WWE had balls, they'll let Oba run through the field in EC and then challenge Drew and beat him in 5 mins and become the WWE champion.
