I have a not working stop watch (since ≈2 years) & at best sometimes working alarm on my iPhone 14 Pro Max (a problem since the early iPhones, now worse than ever before) + super annoying bugs in the default notes app. Unsolved, significant problems. I refuse to buy a new iPhone just in hope to get a working clock app (which they proven to fuck up again eventually, I will never trust this (cr)app ever again).

I have been screaming for this for YEARS. I tell anyone who will listen: “The entire software development industry needs to go one full year without adding ANY new features, and dedicating 100% of its resources to bug fixes & optimizations.”

I bought the 12" MacBook in 2017, with 16GB. As you say - nothing ever came close to the weight & size. I tortured this device for a good 5 years. Mostly used it for ArchiCAD, up to 500+ mb CAD files (really big files for CAD drawings!). It handled something, no other device in its class was able to: Take it's time to do the job until done - relatively slow - but without crashing. It still works just fine, I use it from time to time. And yeah; since an employee once ruined a MacBook Pro of mine with loading the new OS (rendered it useless for extremely expensive software no longer compatible), I ensure to never do so myself (the reason my MB12 is still fully functional).

So I decided to factory reset/erase my beloved 12” MacBook (early 2015) just to get a clean install of the last version of macOS 11.7.11 Big Sur that it supports Big mistake. Apps that used to run (like Final Cut Pro) can’t even be redownloaded from the App Store anymore because Apple requires macOS 15 or later. That’s right: Software that I paid $300 for back in 2020 (see second image with date of purchase) that ran on this little machine (yes, I edited 4K iPhone footage on it during major events like CES, MWC, and IFA back in the day) just straight up doesn’t install anymore. Apple doesn’t even let me install the last compatible version anymore. There’s nothing wrong with my 12” MacBook. It should run all the software that used to work on it. Kinda fucked up and very anti-consumer

@MarsResident027 @AnDuong_91 @Morethan3D_Ltd If budget does not matter - you best take a Bambulab H2D. If it does matter - go for a Bambulab A1 mini for 1/10th of the price - a device that always works and achieves phenomenal print quality, if you really know what you're doing.
