@brettholwe61722 @ITKCruncher Not sure if you’ve seen the video Ipswich have posted mate??
English

@ITKCruncher We all know he isn't going anywhere, and if you think you're getting an apology then you're very much mistaken.
Think it's time for snowflakes like you to stop crying now.
English

I think that could possibly be game set and match for Mark Ashton #itfc
English

Right. Back down to business. 8 huge games to go. Everyone pulling in the same direction now please.

@JoshyHitchcock To be fair your fanbase already had a pretty high percentage of embarrassing people
English

Few fucking idiots wanting Ashton to resign cause of this, all cause he’s had lunch with someone whose beliefs aren’t the same as theirs. Absolute embarrassment from some of our fanbase.

Nigel Farage’s visit to Ipswich Town this week has sparked a major backlash. Fans have accused the club of allowing itself to be used for political purposes, but there is also internal dissent at the club’s handling of the affair. The Athletic can now reveal that the club’s depiction of the visit, as presented to both staff and media, is being heavily disputed. This is the inside story of a chaotic 72 hours. 📝 @Dan_Sheldon_ 🔗 nyti.ms/3Pxq08A

To be fair, now he’s had a ticking off from the owners and apologised it’s time to put it to bed. Another two weeks of turmoil amongst the fanbase should be the absolute max and then move on #itfc

@timseesthelight I enjoy the debate. I try to listen and reason as best I can with people's opinions. Very differing views on the timeline though. I struggle to comprehend the real anger about it all. Maybe it's me..
English

My head has fell off. I'm seriously seeing #itfc calling for Ashton to resign. Cancel culture in full swing. Absolutely pathetic.
English

@McSkins8 @REACHTractors @IpswichTown I support Norwich- very happy for Ipswich to drop an absolute clanger. Just don’t like cunts like you.
English

@timseesthelight @REACHTractors @IpswichTown Oh no are you going to be ok? Did one politician visiting one club for one day hurt your feelings?

We never thought we would have to create this group. We understand people have their own political views but having a divisive character like Farage associated with #itfc is not a good look and the statement from @IpswichTown was pathetic. Are all fans welcome or not?

English

@McSkins8 @REACHTractors @IpswichTown Don’t be a dick- NF was all for politics staying out of football when it was players taking a knee, now he’s ok with it because it suits his needs.
English

@REACHTractors @IpswichTown “Politics is welcome in football unless it’s someone else’s politics”
Reform are the largest polling party in the country. Your meltdown is hilarious.
You talk of division like your politics isn’t destabilising or divisive.
English

Following Monday’s visit by the Reform party and its leader, Nigel Farage, the club would like to issue the following statement:
Ipswich Town Football Club has, over several years, hosted representatives from a range of political parties. The club remains apolitical and does not support or endorse any individual or party.
The club will continue to engage with representatives from across the political spectrum as part of its role within the community.
Ipswich Town is proud to be an inclusive, diverse, and welcoming organisation that supports all members of the local and wider community. This commitment remains unchanged.

English

@timseesthelight And that's fine. We don't have to agree. We also don't have to insult or threaten each other. That's healthy debate and tolerance. What we can agree on is politics has no place in football. Either side.
English

Genuine question. Such uproar if Keir or Polanski were at Portman Road? #itfc

I went on the Ipswich stadium tour last month. A few simple rules that fans were made aware of:
Don’t take photos in Mark Ashton’s office
Don’t go inside Mark Ashton’s special office for telephone calls
Don’t touch/remove the players’ shirts in the changing rooms
#ITFC
English

@timseesthelight With respect, I'm not sure that's so true. Although I'm not hot on his policies, I Google quickly and it looks like he has said, fewer, controlled on U.K terms. I would think pro athletes would meet the requirements.
