Lots of bridge work in Mpls this summer. It's still a great city for biking - here's a map to navigate closures and bike detours.

@CrimeWatchMpls Big thank you to Mpls plow driver who stopped to help a person who had fallen in the road. They were going above and beyond to do a good deed and did not hit anyone.

Skies were cloudy but that didn't stop folks of all ages (incl. those in suits) from biking, riding the train, enjoying a quiet e-bus, or all of the above. Thanks to the Dutch Embassy for an inspiring tour of their multimodal systems.

The #mnleg didn't approve $315M in MN's federal IIJA money - so @MnDOT can't use it. You'll see other states moving forward w/ new investments & creating 1000s of jobs, but MN will be left behind & not be as competitive for other federal grant opportunities until #mnleg acts.

Minnesota could risk losing out on millions in federal funding provided by the $1.2 trillion infrastructure law Congress passed last year if the state legislature doesn’t act soon on the transportation budget, MnDOT warns. | cbsloc.al/3t9H7zg

Remember the IIJA, that historic & bipartisan infrastructure package that Congress passed? If #mnleg fails to pass a transpo bill, @MnDOT can't spend any of MN's IIJA $. We also risk losing up to $100M in federal $ this yr. Huge missed opportunities. Good @StarTribune summary:

Just got new pics of 1 MW community solar on underused gravel pit. Saving $ with rents from vendor and guaranteed savings on electric bills. Air quality and carbon benefits are nice bonus, too. Thanks photo team @MnDOT!

Today, Gov Walz took an important step moving MN towards a Clean Fuel Standard (aka LCFS). This is biggest single policy action the state can take to reduce transport climate pollution. bit.ly/2ZZVKsV

Great Climate Week reminder: transport is #1 source of climate pollution and all-of-the-above approach is needed. Strong example of leadership and collaboration from Minnesota's public, private, and nonprofit sectors. strib.mn/3AviPBl
