Trade proposal #Astros get: Jarren Duran #RedSox get: Isaac Paredes, Brice Matthews, Bennett Sousa, Ryan Forcucci BOS needs a 3B, has OF surplus. HOU needs a LHB OF, has surplus of INF & LHP relievers. I think a trade like this would make a lot of sense for both sides.

Hypothetical Opening Day lineup: LF Anthony + 3B Paredes DH Duran + 1B Contreras RF Abreu SS Story 2B Mayer / Gonzalez C Narvaez CF Rafaela That's a damn good lineup. Very well balanced. Not to mention they have plenty of depth if they need (Casas, Campbell). I'm intrigued.

I’ve been told a deal between the @astros and @RedSox most likely gets done for Paredes this week. If/When the deal gets done, I’m also being told Duran would be a part. Don’t know what other pieces the @astros would send.

@MattCouture5 Matt, the ASTROS aren’t TRADING Parades for anyone BUT Duran (or Abreu). Anyone else involved in the trade, would mean the Astros ADD Minor Leaguers or players like Meyers, Sanchez, King. The DEAL is not Parades for Bello.

Red Sox talks with the Astros regarding Paredes have intensified in recent days, per sources Multiple avenues have been discussed. Astros like both Bello and Duran, among others. Both are seemingly available via trade but will require more on top of Paredes to get it done

@TolleEnthusiast Houston IS NOT trading Parades for Bello!!! The “only” was Boston get Parades is for DURAN! If Boston wants to include Bello, then Houston will “ADD” players like Blubaugh or Arrighetti and a Minor leaguer like Dezenzo or Whitcomb, possibly Matthews.

I have been pushing very hard for a Bello - Parades swap this past week. This would honestly complete our team.

@AstrosKnower this trade proposal is “crazy” …. why would we trade Arrighetti, Matthews and a “kid” we just signed for Harrison? Replace Harrison with Bello and ADD Early or Hicks and Houston gives you Arrighetti and a “lower level” prospect.

@michaelschwab13 I agree 110%!!! I’d be calling him ASAP! Tucker = Right Field Cole/Smith = Center Field Altuve/Cole/Smith = Left Field Meyers - Trade him for a “Quality”bullpen arm to go with Abreu and Hader Walker - Trade him to the Mets for prospects….

If Tucker’s market is not as strong, it’d be wise for the Astros to make a call to Tucker. Or maybe they already have?

The #Bucs are signing safety Marcus Banks to their practice squad, per source. Banks was with Tampa Bay last year and in camp this summer before suffering a quad injury — but he’s now fully recovered and returns to the team.

@michaelschwab13 Walker will be TRADED out of H-Town and Paredes will be out 1B in 2026. Personally, the Meyers and Chas experience should be OVER and a NEW CF (with an above average arm and can hit for average) should be sought out.
