when you take each stone apart, the light slowly dims down, as if its alive🪨

i wanted to prove to myself that i learned a fuckton from my first hardware product (poetry camera) by shipping a second product better and faster this time around.
last week, our lamp prototype felt kind of ugly and broken, but @tinki_loh and i decided to yolo a prototype batch for our friends. we trusted ourselves enough to know that we would figure it out.
so starting last friday we set up a shopify & website, sold out a private alpha batch, completely redesigned the enclosure, brought up new PCBs, fixed reliability & UX issues, assembled our first units, created simple packaging, and overshot our production goal.
wednesday night, we started delivering them to our first customers (including jeah, pictured below).
ship before you feel ready

@kelin_online @tinkiloh Wait can you try something like this!? Vancouver as a city has been a major fan of stone stacking and it looks so cool!

All sensors in. All actuators out: Helix 02 connects every onboard sensor - vision, touch, and proprioception - directly to every actuator through one unified visuomotor neural network.
This unlocks the full dexterity potential of five-fingered hands for intricate manipulation.

Helix 02’s tactile sensing and palm cameras unlock manipulation tasks beyond pure vision‑based policies We demonstrate four tasks at the frontier of multi-fingered dexterity
