Have to say the play off final is normally something I look forward to. The prospect of Hull or Southampton coming up is hardly exciting. Boring as fuck.

It’s remarkable that we now live in a country where Reform brazenly announce that if they win power nationally they will punish areas of the country that didn’t vote for them. Let that sink in, and make sure Reform never get that opportunity

🚨 Eddie Howe on how #NUFC can bounce back next season 🗣" The aim is to try and recruit in every window, but ideally not too many like we saw last summer when 6 new players arrived. It's more about having a drip feed approach💧💉for the best chance of having consistent success

Twitter is brilliant for #nufc football banter at times But twitter is also fucking horrendous when your team is going through a tough time Howe got us CL two from four years. SAVED us from relegation. Won us a trophy. One bad season? Aye, get him out Fucking give up.

I want you to name a Newcastle player you think people under 30 wouldn't know. First team or even reserves. I'll start it off with Fumaca.

I don't know why men use dating apps or go to clubs and bars to meet women? Go to B&M the female to male ratio is 10 to 1 and they're already looking for things they don't need.

I've realised the people panic buying fuel are the same people that stripped supermarket shelves of food during covid the people who parked their cars on the path so Edna and her zimmer frame can't get past the people who go into Tesco's and shout at the shop assistant about their bruised 12 pence banana and the same people that kick off when they want to build some social housing near their houses its strange as we never had these sort of people 20 years ago but now this country is full of them it's not the internet what what's made them it's greed...

👨‍💼💰 Newcastle United have officially pulled back the curtain on our latest financial results, posting a record-breaking turnover of £335.3m and that's before this season and the riches of the Champions League or even Alexander Isak's sale. But while the spreadsheets are looking healthier, the mood on Tyneside is clearly anything but 'box office' following a brutal home derby defeat and growing uncertainty over the man in the dugout. CEO David Hopkinson has addressed the burning issues at St James’ Park, from Eddie Howe’s job security to the potential sale of Sandro Tonali. Here is everything you need to know. The Money: Record Revenue, but Still Trailing the 'Big Six' The Magpies’ turnover for the year ending June 2025 rose by £15m, fueled by a massive 44% jump in commercial revenue (£120.1m). The Context: While £335m sounds like a lot, we are still operating in a different stratosphere to the elite. Liverpool for example recently posted £700m, nearly double our current output! The Loophole: United recorded a £129m profit by selling St James’ Park to a company linked to the club’s owners. While this helps with PSR headroom, CFO Simon Capper warned that UEFA rules and changing PSR regimes mean we can't just go out and spend it all on a new No 9 tomorrow! Still it's good to know we are learning lessons in financial gymnastics like Chelsea. The most uncomfortable part of Hopkinson’s briefing centered on Eddie Howe. With us languishing in 12th place and still reeling from the 2-1 loss to Sunderland, the "un-sackable" aura around Howe is fading. "I don’t have a stance on his future. The derby loss hurt. It has resonated... Eddie’s our manager. We’ll talk about the future when it’s time." By refusing to give a "vote of confidence," Hopkinson has essentially put Howe on notice. With only seven games left, the message is clear: finish strong, or the summer could bring a new face to the dugout. After the "Isak Saga" last summer—which saw our star striker force a £125m move to Liverpool—Hopkinson was blunt about the club’s new reality. To buy big, we might have to sell big. Linked with a move away, Sandro Tonali’s future is up in the air. David Hopkinson insisted any exit would be on "our terms," but didn't rule out a sale. "Buying well does not necessarily mean spending the most money," said the CEO. The focus is now on "value" and "developing our own." A Summer of Upheaval? Keith Downie suggests as many as eight new signings could be needed to refresh a squad that looked exhausted during the Champions League exit to Barcelona. However, without top-tier European football to offer, keeping hold of stars like Anthony Gordon and Tino Livramento will be the ultimate test of the board's ambition. The PIF era promised a rapid ascent. While the bank balance is growing, the results on the pitch have stalled. Hopkinson says we "can get there quickly," pointing to 2030 as the goal for elite status. For many of us, that feels like a lifetime away. What do you think? Is it time for a change at the top, or does Eddie deserve the summer to rebuild the machine he created? Let us know in the comments! #NUFC #NewcastleUnited #EddieHowe #StJamesPark #TransferNews #Magpie247

The sun was free. They sold you SPF 50 and a vitamin D deficiency. Sleep was free. They sold you an app, a pill, and a wearable that tells you your sleep was bad. Walking was free. They sold you a treadmill, a fitness tracker, and a £180 pair of trainers. Fasting was free. They sold you meal replacement shakes and the anxiety that skipping breakfast would wreck your metabolism. Cold water was free. They sold you a £3,000 plunge barrel and a podcast episode about it. Silence was free. They sold you a meditation app with a premium tier. Animal fat was cheap. They sold you seed oils, then supplements to replace what the animal fat contained. Tallow was cheap. They sold you a seventeen-step skincare routine and a clinical trial proving your face needs ceramides. Meat was cheap. They are currently selling you the idea that you shouldn't eat it. The 20th century removed access to everything the body needs to function. The 21st century is selling it back, one subscription at a time. Your great-grandmother had none of the products. She had all of the things.

Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi's reaction as Trump says "Who knows better about surprise than Japan? Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Habour?" Undoubtedly the worst American diplomatic gaffe in post-war US-Japan history.
