Beyond reported Islamic Development Bank funding, the Islamic Services Foundation has created an endowment structure aimed at accumulating and reinvesting donations into expanding institutions like Brighter Horizons. The “ISF Endowment” (waqf) is described as a long-term capital pool intended to finance additional Islamic schools, with projected growth into the tens of millions over the next decade. ISF Endowment operates as a separate 501(c)(3) (EIN 99-3472431) since 2025 with its own board and ISF as sole member. Questions have been raised about transparency, donor origins, and differences between advertised fundraising figures and IRS filings.
