@DeKajoo Basically, the game is glued together on boot by human readable files that can be created and edited from outside the unity engine. So you can, in theory, add an item or enemy by literally just creating a txt file in the correct folder.

Since Christmas I've been working on a GDD for the Tiny Rogues update. (to get an overview, because my notes and plans were all over the place) So far it is 57 pages long 😭 I expect it to be like 70 pages when it's finished 💀

Satisfying editor visualization 😌

The first time the full rewrite shows it's features: Resource effects can now scale with other modifiers! In this, the Ruby Ring grants Hearts for each Glass Heart you have. (no description yet) The fill value of each heart is saved in it's "expanded" state.

Been laying some new foundation for modding and localization. The game can now load "OS installed"-fonts. Only the most sophisticated tiny rogues play with 𝚃𝚒𝚖𝚎𝚜 𝙽𝚎𝚠 𝚁𝚘𝚖𝚊𝚗.

FYI: an update last year temporarily removed some weapons and traits. This including some content creator Easter-eggs. A lot of "iconic" stuff is missing right now, but be assured those will be re-added later. Examples: Goat Force, Frozen Orb Wand, Meteor Scroll,...

Also: Some community members on the Discord won "design an item with RubyDev" last year and I wanted to say in public that I have not forgotten about those. We will sit down and make those when next patch is in playable state! 💝

In general, I'm still not quite happy with a lot of content creator easter-eggs. I think in 2025 I can do a better job at making something speaking to the content creator than in 2022. Who's your favorite content creator that doesn't have an ingame easter-egg yet?

Most of them were meant to be converted into active skills, but the creation of new skills got pushed back after other things took priority. (and the skill system in general needed/is in need of more iterations)
