Good night Quackers 🦆 The safest-looking trade is often the one already being watched. That sounds backwards, but it's a familiar idea in principal-agent economics. Whenever you delegate a task to someone else, a broker, a fund manager, or an execution layer, a gap opens between what you want and what actually happens. The reason is simple. The person acting on your behalf almost always has more information or different incentives than you do. A classic example is a mutual fund manager paid based on assets under management rather than performance. They're not acting dishonestly. But they do have an incentive to grow the fund, even if that growth eventually reduces returns for existing investors. The solution has never been to hope for better behavior. It's been to write better contracts through fee alignment, disclosure, and clear accountability. DeFi has its own version of this problem. When you submit a swap, you're handing execution to a router, a mempool, and ultimately a block builder. They determine how your transaction gets executed. But what happens to the value your trade creates after execution has traditionally been outside the agreement. That value simply flows to whoever is fastest at capturing it. This is worth sitting with. An undefined obligation isn't neutral. It quietly benefits whoever profits from the ambiguity. In principal-agent problems, vague contracts usually favor the better-informed party. Clear contracts narrow that advantage. That's where Wallchain takes a different approach. By bundling the trade with its resulting arbitrage and assigning a defined share of that value back to the user, it turns an implicit assumption into an explicit rule. The user still delegates execution. But the outcome is no longer left entirely to whoever arrives first.
