ICYMI 📢 #SportEngland's #SocialValueReport24 found that the annual social value of community sport & physical activity is £107.2bn. It revealed that active lives each year prevented: 📉 1.3 million cases of depression 📉 600,000 cases of diabetes 📉 57,000 cases of dementia

@maitlis I recall 2p bus fares for kids and 5p for adults in the early/mid 80's. Buses also went to where people were/wanted to go, not just the most profitable routes 🙄

They were 2p. Sheffield was famous for them !

@Leedstekgeek Only other thing to do is ask HMRC if there's a chance of alternative then do online payment only in future. Although occasionally they still will issue a cheque.

Advice please (yes I know it should be a chilling out Sunday) I got a cheque for a decent amount from HMRC as I overpaid tax. But my 2 bank accounts are online only. The local cash shop wants £460 to cash it for me. Any sensible ideas? At the moment I think cash shop only option

@Leedstekgeek Maybe open a basic account somewhere with a bramch and pay it in then transfer to Chase?

@tinyjneenie Yes can def do a the post office will have to go into the city to a main one as my local one is only small and I doubt they will have the slip. But def not the end of the world. Think money app does not but can deposit via post office and Chase don't accept cheques full stop!
