@ChrisJBakke @algierz And you’ll find crappy candidates that think they are worth $150k+ but really aren’t worth $70k 😁

@algierz You'll continually find candidates who are smarter/scrappier at $70k than the $100k candidate because they don't think they deserve to be paid $100k yet (but they're wrong). And/or you find people who are twice as good as the $100k candidates for only 30% more.

If you're *sure* you want to pay someone $100k for any given role, you should also post the job at $70k and $130k and take a serious look at both pipelines. It's amazing how much the talent pool changes by changing compensation by 30% in either direction.
