$KNX Development Recap: Taking the Offline Stack into the App Layer
After successfully validating offline transfers end-to-end in complete lockdown mode, we’ve now moved into the stabilization phase of the offline core while integrating it into the full UI/UX layer of the app.
This phase is focused on hardening what we’ve already built , improving reliability of Bluetooth communication (latency, retries, packet handling), optimizing payload efficiency, and tightening the validation flow across send → verify → acknowledge cycles. At the same time, we’re integrating the offline engine directly into the app flows so that note creation, transfer, validation, and storage feel seamless from a user perspective, not like a separate system bolted on later.
We’re also refining local state management — how notes are stored, indexed, tracked, and updated on-device — along with expanding duplicate detection and edge-case handling before reconciliation is introduced. The goal here isn’t just to make it work, but to make it stable under real-world conditions across devices.
We’ll be releasing the next APK this week with the offline stack live, so users can start testing real device-to-device transfers themselves and push the system under actual conditions.
