If you aren’t measuring to track and identify an athlete’s readiness during the season you are either guessing or assuming which is never optimal. We use a 20-30 yard build into 10 yard fly’s every Monday in season with @StewieFootball We get a dose of MaxV early in the week when athletes are fresh and we find out our level of readiness before the next game! ➡️ Have we recovered from Friday night? ➡️ Are there unknown injuries we need to address? We know every athlete’s rolling average and PR for the season. Here’s how we use those numbers to make decisions for our athletes… > 97% of rolling average = good to go! *If an athlete is slower than that it sparks a conversation… 1. How did you sleep/eat over weekend? 2. Did an injury happen in the game? 3. External stressors at school/home? On a weekly basis a majority of our athletes are faster than average and occasionally set a PR which we celebrate the heck out of. It’s a great way to start the week! 💨💪 #SpeedWins #SprintBasedFootball @pntrack @coachbdixon @TFConsortium @MarkHoover71

Coaches Do you use a jump test for “readiness”?
