You are aware that we are brothers in arms but somehow i don’t agree what is being propagated , Even though i am not any legal expert but the process of downgrading is not permitted at very first instance there are recorded judgments were a state was curved out of a state , A union territory carved out of state , but a union territory carved out and stated downgraded to UT is one of its kind per say for the sake of argument i accept whatever you are stating is right then this happen to any state tmrw purely on brut majority were in law is clear In the Indian Constitution, a state cannot be downgraded to a Union Territory for several reasons: The Constitution provides a specific procedure for the creation and alteration of states and Union Territories under Article 3. While it allows for the formation of new states and the alteration of boundaries, it does not explicitly allow for the demotion of a state to a Union Territory. I am all in for the rights of our brother but to make this as a precedence will be disastrous for our country.
