@DamodarHegde4 @shaandelhite AND a US president called Indira Gandhi a “bitch” which I personally take as a badge of honour. Such was the aura of our PM. And today as well, I am absolutely fine if the hypocrite US considers our PM an “asshole”. For a change, Indians need to be assholes for the world.

@shaandelhite You said it: “And today, US president left the G7 summit in between because he didn’t want to see Modi’s face..” President Trump didn’t have the moral courage to meet Modi ji in person after uttering 7 times falsely that he meditated cease-fire which was untrue! So he ran away!

There was a time when US president used to wait to listen Indian Prime Minister — Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji. “When Prime Minister speaks, everybody listens..” And today, US president left the G7 summit in between because he didn’t want to see Modi’s face..

@DamodarHegde4 @shaandelhite On one hand people call Trump an idiot and abhor whatever he says or does. On the other hand, he becomes the Gold standard when it comes to his actions and comments on India. The truth is that US presidents love meek Indian PMs and dislike Strong ones.

No one trusts India. It has no friends. And it depends on outsiders for everything except grains and vegetables. By that measure Pakistan is doing so much better. At least Turkey and Azerbaijan came out openly in their favor.

"I told Tim Cook we're not interested in you building (Apple) in India, they can take care of themselves, you up your production here (US)," claimed Trump. He added that India was one of the highest tariff-imposing countries & has now made an offer to reduce tariffs significantly #DonaldTrump #India #Apple #TimCook #IPhone #CNBCTV18Digital

@sabeer @narendramodi Try proposing it in the US first, where they still use Ballot papers. And tag @realDonaldTrump instead or @narendramodi In fact you should try an app through with Trump can broker “peace” between the countries. I am sure Elon Musk will fund that.

Modern economies thrive on trade—not politics. Trade is driven by companies, not governments. Boycotting nations like Turkey over political disagreements is shortsighted and harmful. It hurts businesses on both sides. Bilateral trade should grow, not shrink.

@sabeer How did the modern economies reached where they are today? With politics and war. British trade in India was unidirectional - they looted us. The US used World war and political propaganda to become a business power. China almost broke ties with Russia to sleep with China.

@mrsinha We did what we could! Unfortunately the West, particularly the US, like always, is playing the dirty game of supporting Islamists. Before, it was to counter Russia, now it is to get the Arab money and destabilise South Asia to counter China. Indians will always be alone.

Genuinely asking, what did India achieve by splitting Pakistan into two parts in 1971? No question about the Army’s valour, they did phenomenal work. Making 93,000 Pakistani soldiers surrender was historic and broke Pakistan’s morale. I’m talking from a political perspective. -We couldn't take back our soldiers -We signed the Indus water treaty which is against Indian interest -We created a country which is as big a threat as Pakistan today What did we gain?

@sardesairajdeep It is NOT about supplying arms. Every power is supplying arms to every other power. Turkey’s issue is the ideological hate that Erdogan has for India. Supplying arms to Ukraine is business, but supplying arms to Pakistan is fuelling Muslim brotherhood for Jihad. DIFFERENCE!

While our social media army is urging a boycott of Turkey, Ankara is at the heart of the ongoing Ukraine-Russia peace negotiations and placing itself at the centre of the multi polar new world order. Turkish drones were used by Ukraine in war but that hasn’t stopped Russia, our all weather friend, from building close ties with Turkey. And while IT cell wants ‘action’ against Turkey and we have revoked security clearance to a Turkish airport services firm, we still haven’t officially said a single word against Erdogan govt. Net-net: foreign policy can’t be shaped by tv/social media outrage but requires serious, measured diplomatic moves. We have already had a RW twitter troll last week create a major diplomatic fracas with Iran by abusing that country’s foreign minister on tv. In these turbulent times, we need to cultivate more friends, provoke less hostility, P.s. China remains the main arms supplier to Pakistan and its all weather ally. Will we boycott all Chinese goods and companies or is our ire limited to Tik Tok bans? Time to get REAL.

Besides, with China’s CPEC routing through Turkey, they have a lot to lose in terms of Chinese Yuan if Pakistan falls. With so much at stake and Erdogan at helm, Turkey can never be India’s friend. So #BoycottTurkey

Hence, Erdogan is playing the numbers game and trying to turn 40 Crore Muslims to his side - Pakistan, Bangladesh and Azerbaijan. How to do it? Simply by antagonising a Kafir nation India that Turkish Invaders have attacked historically.

With Erdogan at helm, Turkey is never going to be India’s friend. For, his ambition is to establish a Neo-Caliphate for Muslims and become their Caliph. However, the entire Middle East is not interested in his scheme.

Apple is still coming to India despite Trump trying to convince Tim Cook otherwise. It’s going to be a big deal, investments, jobs, and strengthening of the Indian electronics and manufacturing sector. Hope we don't make them fall into familiar traps: bureaucratic red tape, erratic policy shifts, clearances, disruptive labor unions, language vigilance, corruption, reservation demands in private sector to name a few. If we handle this right, Apple’s growing presence could be a gateway to much more like increased manufacturing, deeper supply chain integration, and greater trust from other global tech giants. Fingers crossed!

@theskindoctor13 Imho, India should resist the urge to align with any country militarily, barring Israel. India is on a tough road to become more self-reliant this way. In any case, US and China will always keep Islamic fundamentalism alive and hence, India’s fight remains long and hard.

India has traditionally followed a non-aligned foreign policy, which means we’ve deliberately avoided formal military alliances. As a result, we don’t have true allies in the way some other nations do. We have trade partners. An alliance requires commitment, treaties, strategic alignment, and mutual military support. India, by design, has avoided such obligations. During global conflicts, India rarely takes a firm stand in favor of one side. We typically maintain diplomatic neutrality. Naturally, other countries reciprocate the same way, offering limited support without going beyond what suits their interests. Take, for example, the difference between India and Pak in their relationships with the US. Pak is a major non-NATO ally of the US. It has historically provided air bases and strategic assistance during US military ops, such as in Afghanistan or against Iran. In return, the US offers military and economic aid, it's a transactional, interest-based alliance. India, on the other hand, enjoys good trade relations with the US, and much of the diplomatic support we receive is due to our economic significance, not from any formal alliance. However, under Modi, there have been subtle shifts. Like, during the Russia-Ukraine conflict, India maintained its energy trade with Russia despite global pressure. Similarly, in the Israel-Gaza situation, India departed from its traditionally balanced stance and explicitly supported Israel’s right to self-defense. But if India truly wants reliable military allies, it must be willing to commit, sign treaties, support allies during conflicts, and align itself strategically. Only then can we expect other nations to stand by us in times of need.

When you want to be a world power, you have to learn to be “alone”. Remember, Russia has no friends, China has no friends, US actually has no friends. And whatever you see, it’s actually their money talking. India will also get money, but first they need the “attitude”.

Many people think the Ceasefire has brought ‘finality’ to the latest chapter of India-Pakistan confrontation. And that’s why so much debate and analysis about what India did right and where India missed. ONLY, that it is not final, not yet. It is still ONGOING.
