@JohnIsaac55 @jemelehill Cool it can be like the nba where nobody with a normal job can afford to go to games because the players make so much money it cost a week salary for 3 tickets

@jemelehill Honestly, the W doesn’t need men to be successful, there are more women than men in the world. I want them all to get what they worth and see the league grow.

Truly. The WNBA has NEVER opened their books so we don’t know what they’re actually making, how they calculate losses, or what their accounting methods are. Regardless, it’s just another way for some of them to display misogyny. The Clippers reportedly lost $700M in 2021 and not a single check to a player bounced. These sports teams are toys to these billionaires. Let them spend their money on what they invested in. People in this country are just conditioned to glaze billionaires. It’s wild.

Why men be acting like they payin these WNBA players outta pocket 😭

@jemelehill lol first the players make more money , next a hard working family man can’t afford to take his kids to events , because players are getting paid millions to pay a game

I am sorry, but if you can’t play in at least 80% of the games, you probably don’t deserve to win regular season awards. Only five NBA MVPs have gone to a player who played under 65 games. Malone won in a 50-game strike season. LeBron during a 66-game strike season. Giannis during 72-game COVID season. Cousy during a 72-game season. In NBA history, only Bill Walton would have been impacted by the 65-game rule.

The 65-game rule didn’t increase attendance like it was designed. Instead, it’s taken away deserved honors from some of the best players in the league.

@TheAthleticNBA Maybe the nba media shouldn’t have tried to full on shame players like Joel Embiid for saying they would like to win mvp 🤷‍♂️

Victor Wembanyama is doing more than chasing MVP. He is changing the energy around the NBA. If you somehow haven’t noticed by now, the 22-year-old who has been such a bright spot in these dark NBA times is relentlessly and refreshingly competitive.

@JCMacriNBA Media just hates Joel Embiid , so strange , guy has okayed more games while injured than any player in the last 50 years , and not one member of nba media has ever had his back like the entire nba media has had for Cade

I know this isn’t anyone’s concern right now, but if Cade misses the cutoff and fails to qualify for All-NBA, it would be a clear sign that they need to go back to the drawing board on those rules. There is no universe where Cunningham shouldn’t be on an All-NBA team this season.
Bobby Marks@BobbyMarks42

Cunningham has 60 qualified games played and is currently short of the All-NBA criteria. The Pistons have 14 games remaining. Cunningham earned All-NBA last season and as a result, saw his rookie max extension increase from $222M to $269M.

@JaredWeissNBA Where was this when it was Embiid , why do the people who cover the nba have no respect for the guy who’s played more games while injured than any player I. The last 30-40-50 years ?

There is no way the 65-game rule should still be there next year. It is clearly a terrible rule and as I have said all along, it will have a big negative impact on long term legacy when great players have emptier award resumes because they played like 6 less games than someone not as good. Guys dropping out of the MVP and All-NBA race because they are just short of an arbitrary line that their competitors are just above is BS.

i have not spoken on the 65 game rule because i’m ultimately not super passionate about it, but this cade situation is the first thing that’s really pushed me over the edge. he’s had an all-NBA season and absolutely shouldn’t be penalized for a collapsed lung with 14 games left.

@AshikagaAdam @TermineRadio Good idea blame the player who’s played more games while injured than any player in the last 50 years , makes a lot of sense lol . But you are correct that’s why they made the rule , to screw Embiid

@TermineRadio Actually they made the rule for Embiid , who even playing in 55 games was pretty much a miracle , as he’s on 2 degenerative knees , while jakasses like you Justin talk about him ducking games , as if his knees are functioning for a human being 🤷‍♂️

If Silver announced today that he’s changing the MVP/All-NBA minimum from 65 to 62 (20 games missed max), would anyone object? Just admit you made the number too high and fix it on the fly. Cade missing out on All-NBA would be outrageous.
