The IMC is nearly here! Join @erc_releven in Leeds for our consecutive panels on Tuesday 4th July (522, 622, 722), as we explore connections between people and ideas across cultures and polities in the eleventh-century Eastern Christian world. @o_aleksandros @tla @IMC_Leeds

Learning that when 'containerizing' an app involves 6 linked containers, it's a house of cards. Halfway done reassembling @WHGazetteer piece by piece, upgrading major dependencies, tidying and adding tests. Making it amenable to collaborative development for the long haul.

Define "easily". Obviously I can read it (are there any fluent readers of English who can't work out what it says?) but I wouldn't want to read much more than a paragraph like that! (Weirdly, this text kept looking slightly backwards to me as I typed.) twitter.com/autismsupsoc/s…

Can you easily read the pictured text? It is upside down and backwards so start at the arrow in the bottom left corner. The next tweet has black text on white if that is easier for you to look at. (V3.0)

@sharon_howard I also couldn't help noticing a reference to Princess Andrew, and William's wife being called "British Katharine, Duchess of Kent", in photo captions

@ThatAndromeda @steveklabnik Before I'd lived in Boston I was sitting at a red light to turn left. It turned green (no arrow). I waited. The two cars behind me took 0.1 seconds to diagnose the situation and drove around me. I never got a chance to turn. Next cycle through the light I knew what to do.

@peterfrankopan A bit disingenuous - AT is neutral, HU is not. A better comparison is Switzerland, also neutral, both sending humanitiarian aid. (Apparently so is HU; I have no idea how real / effective these respective donations are though)

@bdowney @mpk I always understood that second check as the airline wanting to be damn sure they don't accidentally fly anyone to the US whom they'd have to fly back when deported. Not sure who insists on it though, airline or feds

@MatthewHolford @tlecaque Insofar as there were communities of Armenians all over Europe by the 17th c. and the 12th-14th c. kingdom of Cilicia had a lot of Armenian/Latin intermixing, I’m not surprised. But it is a really nice find!

Intrigued to spy 13th century Latin manuscript waste in a 17th century Armenian manuscript today (Bodl. MS. Arm. c. 3). Any ideas about how unusual this is?
