US Social Security reminder: The US Government is projecting that SS benefits will be impacted sometime around 2033, because it's a ponzi scheme and funds are not properly invested to pay the promised benefits. Two thoughts: 1) Why are we taxing SSA benefits? The return on investment is underwhelming. Had that money not been invested in 1-2% US T-bill returns, the monthly payment would have been greater. Time to rectify this by not taxing Social Security payments. 2) If payments will be reduced to 80% of benefit (or other amount), the amount not paid should be an above the line deduction or a tax credit for other sources of income. You tell me you owe me 100% of $2,000/month but because you don't have the money, you're going to give me $1,600 a month and then expect me to pay tax on my other sources of income. By my calculation, you still owe me $400/mo or $4,800/yr. Why would I pay $10,000 tax on my other income if you owe me $4,800? I'll pay you the $5,200 and call it good. At a bare minimum, my other AGI should be reduced by whatever you stiffed me. I know this doesn't affect me for another couple of decades or whatever, but still, let's get in front of this now.

Is this what you thought Yellowstone Park was like? Unmoving traffic jams lasting 1-3 hours; rivaling that of suburban areas in big cities. Nowhere to park. Insane prices. Tourists harassing animals, littering, picking flowers, influencers everywhere, sticking their hands in basins and ruining them, no good camping spots left because people use AI programs to snatch up the good ones within milliseconds of the site opening up, and most of your day spent behind Asian tourist busses. The overwhelming amount of tourists have made the park experience unbearable. You used to be able to go there and explore nature peacefully. Now it's worse than Disneyland.

@Junksterrr That is a TV issue NOT the game, your TV,Cable, AV set-up is not allowing 4K/120, so it will drop to the next level it can achieve (1440p/120>1080/120). Game runs fine at 4K/120Hz in all modes, including Performance, which is 1080P native.

If you are playing Crimson Desert on PS5 disable 120hz in your system settings immediately! It is LOCKING the games resolution to 1080p! Game is CLEAR now

I’ve got a fair bit of leeway I’m willing to give to Star Trek shows. Everything ‘Enterprise’ and before is unassailable to me; and the movies. For Picard - I loved it. No problems at all. Couldn’t get enough. For Discovery, I had a few problems and allowed them to pass. Strange New Worlds was where I couldn’t get past 2 episodes and gave up and just can’t find the interest to even give Academy a shot given the posts I’ve seen. So I’ll sit back and hope for a new season of Orville materializes out of thin air.

This is a very extreme event. I was curious if I could find a precedent in the Fort Data predating GHCNd data. Cheyenne has no data before 1869, but the nearest site in Fort Laramie to the north has records dating back to 1849. I found a few interesting things. In March 1857, there were seven consecutive days at or above 60°F at the end of the month. March 1858 was also interesting: • 3/9: 72°F • 3/10: 74°F (had these occurred 7-10 days later, it's possible that they could have been upper-70s or even low-80s) THEN I FOUND THIS :) March 1863... banger. • 3/12: 72°F • 3/13: data missing; likely mid-70s • 3/14: 78°F • 3/15: 82°F (would be the record earliest there if it were included in modern "official" data) • 3/16: 74°F • 3/17: 76°F • 3/18: 72°F • 3/20: 78°F • 3/21: 79°F • 3/25: 70°F • 3/27: 76°F • 3/29: 72°F • 3/31: 74°F So there might be some precedent.
