If HBCUs had the equal or even close to the funding of some of these PWIs for athletics and facilities, it would be over annually.

I’m just going to throw this out there. Life University has 88 wins the last 4 years. Which ranks 2nd within 4 years schools regardless of level/division. We also had a player level up and be named Sunbelt Player of the year and multiple guys transfer up. Great hoops in the 🍑

Whatever GA State does they need to hire someone with deep Atlanta recruiting ties. If you know ATL you know you have to be plugged in with the city & can be difficult to do. Too much talent in ATL not to have at least 2-3 ATL players to help compete at the top of the Sun Belt

Not only has NIL changed college sports for the players, but it has made it so that wealthy people get a shortcut in the coaching profession with no other qualifications than the size of their wallet. Feel bad for the guys who grind for years getting passed over.

Kelvin Sampson shares what separates good programs from great ones. It comes down to 3 things. "The best teams come from the coaching staffs that are the best demanders. There are certain non-negotiables." "We're not going to sit down and talk about this...This is the way it's done and we expect this effort." No debate. No negotiation. Just the standard. "And those eventually will be called standards. So - standards, accountability, and then we've raised our expectations." "Here's our expectations, and our expectation is probably a little bit higher than most people's. We don't talk about them." The standard is how you operate every day. "We practiced this morning at 6:00. Probably our best practice in the last 6 or 7 days. But that's because our standards are raising. Our kids are holding each other accountable now." Then he said the line that defines a great program: "That's when you know you've got a great program." When the players hold each other accountable not just the coaches. That's when you've built something real. The formula is: 1. Standards 2. Accountability 3. Raised Expectations. A great team isn't made of individuals seeking personal glory - it's made of people who hold each other accountable and work towards a common goal (🎥 March Madness)

@michaelsobrien Yes it will! @illinoisgetdown has used it the last 3 season with teams from across the state and w/states that do not use it and states that do. There will be a culture shock in Illinois next season. The adjustments will be CLEARY seen. @XposureRuns

@DrKanisha @livforhoops I’ll get started. People push HBCU coaches to be P4 assistants but will push D2 coaches to be P4 head coaches. If a HBCU coach stayed put between 10-15 yrs, get over 300 wins, win a conference chip or 2 or 3. They’ll be in Naismith HOF.

@CoachCamEHB Interesting convo to have 4 sure. Assuming a coach doesn’t already scout and make adjustments by the time FF come then yeah, team in big trouble. Assuming a coach consistently scouts and adjust throughout the season and prepares team then different. It’s all coaching n players
