Del Complex

Del Complex, would like to congratulate @shaharbrr on their research into delivering drugs into the brain via brain parasites. This work represents an exciting advance in the field of biological cognitive enhancement that we've been pioneering with our Brain Worms program. We're thrilled to see other researchers exploring biological approaches to enhancing human cognition and treating neurological conditions. The use of T. gondii as a delivery vehicle for therapeutic proteins is an innovative approach that demonstrates the potential of engineered microorganisms in medicine. While this new research is promising, we believe our Brain Worms technology offers some key advantages; 1. Continuous production: Our Brain Worms are designed to continuously produce beneficial neurotrophic factors and neuromodulators, providing sustained cognitive enhancement without the need for repeated treatments. While they use T. gondii for one-time delivery of pre-made proteins. 2. Targeted delivery: Brain Worms can be engineered to navigate to specific brain regions, allowing for more precise targeting of cognitive functions. Their T. gondii approach relies on the parasite's natural distribution in the brain. 3. Adaptability: Our technology has the potential for dynamic adaptation to changing cognitive demands, adjusting its activity based on the user's needs. Their system delivers a fixed protein payload without ongoing adjustment capabilities. 4. Integration with other technologies: Brain Worms are being developed as part of a broader ecosystem of cognitive enhancement, with the potential to work synergistically with brain-computer interfaces and other neurotechnologies. Their approach focuses solely on protein delivery via T. gondii. 5. Customization: We're working towards personalized Brain Worm "strains" tailored to individual cognitive goals and needs. 6. Reversibility: Our Brain Worms include built-in safety mechanisms like genetic "kill switches" for rapid elimination if needed. Their approach uses the same engineered T. gondii for all subjects. 6. Reversibility: Our Brain Worms include built-in safety mechanisms like genetic "kill switches" for rapid elimination if needed, which their T. gondii system does not appear to incorporate. We're excited to see the field of biological cognitive enhancement advancing and look forward to continuing our work to unlock human potential through responsible innovation. As always, we remain committed to rigorous safety protocols and ethical considerations in all our research and development efforts. You can learn more about their research here: sciencenews.org/article/toxopl… nature.com/articles/s4156… Congratulations again to all of those who are working to accelerate the human species toward a brighter tomorrow.
