The weight room is the most influential room in a school. It’s not a place to hang out — it’s a classroom. A place where habits are built, standards are set, and character is developed.

Saban on Leadership. “Leadership is about helping somebody else for their benefit, not yours.” - Nick Saban True leadership isn’t about power. It’s about lifting others up and putting the team first.

What can you really get done training HS kids in a 42-minute class period? A lot. Create a system, build/organize/refine your plan & watch kids execute. Day 1 ✅

We transitioned to in school lifting last year. Students are more engaged/fresh. Also, when it's a class, attendance isn't optional and grades are recorded and sent home for parents to see...daily.

Another reason for S&C classes during the school day: kids after school schedules are OVER schedule- homework, work, practice, games, social life. If they can get it done during an elective. Let them! Their school experience doesn’t end after the last bell. Make their life easier

Sometimes our speed workouts were done in 40 minutes. Once I got questioned about this by my AD. “It was reported that boys’ track practice finished before the girls’ track team got out of their team meeting.” My reply, “Yes, meetings should never last more than 40 minutes!”

Thank you Jesus for guiding my steps and giving me the confidence to bet on myself. I’m officially committing to Iowa Western to continue my academic and football career, and I’m beyond grateful for my friends, family, and coaches that continue to support me through everything. With that being said, Sails up 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️ @tmlloyd67 @alex_kirton70 @CoachAaronTerry @CoachStrohmeier @BlackbournMike

We moved to Ogden 3 years ago. Absolutely tremendous community of unwavering support with so many opportunities for kids. Football: 3 straight playoff appearances, 2025 District Defensive MVP, and the 1st D1 offer in over a decade. #howboutthemdawgs

Giving back to the Ronald McDonald House. Every year we collect gifts for my son’s Re-birthday (Bone Marrow Transplant) to give to families during the holidays. 11 years ago we spent Christmas at the Ronald McDonald House and know the blessings these gifts bring. #thankful

The fastest way theoretically to improve strength is to use the Max Effort method multiple times a week with repeated exercises. The body puts a stop to that quick via fatigue mechanisms. So we have programming solutions… 1. Utilize change of exercise with same intensity parameter 2. Utilize Brief Maximal Tension with same exercise Many choose one, especially for more trained athletes. I choose two as we want as frequent exposure to similar stimulus as possible.
