@typesfast It's helpful as it lets the hotel know the room is vacant and ready for cleaning. This also helps the next guest who will have a clean room ready for them when they arrive.

Tonight’s early winner: fans of The Who! ESPN’s using Baba O'Riley for the game intro, and the Walmart ad with Who Are You is sure to follow at some point. The staying power of those songs is amazing.

@DodgersNation My sense is that Roberts is a big reason many of these players come to/stay with the Dodgers...chemistry of that team has been fantastic for years, even with changing players.

The....solution - in addition to some background things Matt and I might agree on - is to arrest more criminals, many Black. None of this is hard. Elite Salvador went from a murder rate of 108/100K to a rate of 1/100K in a few years. Any "irresolvable complex root causes" talk now is Kabuki.

After 736 gripping pages, finally put down Trollope's Orley Farm. George Orwell thought it the greatest 19th century novel about a lawsuit, and I certainly can't think of a better one. Superior to Bleak House.

If you have to do shopping specifically for a meal in a tier-1 city, this is certainly true if the comp is some fast fancy thing from Doordash. If you're a Costco-American and keep the pantry loaded up with volume staples, then it's not true. But the latter assumes a Costco sized kitchen, a domestic routine, etc. Something rather scarce among people of a certain age and geo. New York's restaurants are full even on a Monday for a reason. And none but the wealthy can afford to put on dinner parties or have friends over for meals.

I honestly can’t wrap my head around any scenario where this could possibly be true. What are you all eating? A meal from a restaurant is easily 2-3x what cooking costs.

@MattBruenig I've read (makes sense) that officials are letting defenders hold down arm of receivers and receivers have adapted with these (fantastic) one handed catches. Hope that's true...like what it says about people :)
