I'm surprised to see people can make callus out of leaf. I thought callus induction is only good from seedling or meristems.

@hdf_tweets Okay, I used to use V:I=1:2 or 1:3. I also found the activity of competent cell is also quite important for good transformation. 🤞

Anyone have any advice with molecular #cloning? I cloned two each into pGEM-T easy vector with no problem. Then I tried to clone two more (approx same size) and they've failed multiple times. I've tried varying insert DNA concentrations. Frustrated. #genetics #molecularbiology

@StevenXGe PAG was great but I felt it was very crowded. I made a couple of connections but do not know how I will follow up on this. I had six visitors when I was doing posters. I also heard few came when I was not there.

Is attending science conferences worth it? Just for dissemination. I spent thousands of $ and 5 days for #PAG30. Ten people came to my poster, 30 listened to my talk. Taking $0 and 1 min, the tweet below had 14,000 impressions, 100s of clicks. It's nice to learn & meet people.

Almost four manuscripts, many to come..but need a clear direction of its use in scientific publications.
