44 Democrats just killed a resolution condemning AIPAC.
No roll call. No names. No record.
They made sure of it.
80% of Democratic voters hold unfavorable views of Israel. 80%. The party’s own base — by an overwhelming supermajority — wants accountability.
These 44 members just told them no.
Not in public. Not on the record. In a room in New Orleans where nobody had to put their name on anything.
The sponsor called it “an embarrassing display of cowardice.”
She’s right.
And while they were hiding behind parliamentary procedure, Politico was reporting that two potential 2028 Democratic presidential candidates personally called DNC members to kill the resolution before the vote.
They don’t want their names on protecting AIPAC.
So they made sure nobody’s name would be on anything.
This is what donor capture looks like from the inside.
80% of your voters say one thing. Your donors make two phone calls.
The donors win.
Every single time.
Lowk I can't believe how little hype there is for the WC. I don't hear anyone in my immediate circle planning to attend games bc of the exorbitant prices and there's such a distaste to it w/ Trump's association w/ Infantino.
Our fans will complain about everything and have seriously outed themselves the past couple days. De Zerbi is a very solid coach, prem proven, plays attacking football, committed to the club, holds players accountable, and has tons of passion. everything we need from a manager rn
@MLSMoves Serious case to be made that gk as a position had the most transferable skills from other american sports and as the "modern gk" has to play with his feet more, we're seeing less american gk's in europe
I can’t believe how bad the Goalkeeping pool is for the USMNT. We’ve had so many of our Keepers in the EPL over the years who started for us. Tim Howard, Brad Friedal, Kasey Keller, Brad Guzan…..
How has our strongest historical position become one of our weakest?
The last time we won 5 games in a row was March 2021.
The last time we won 5 league games in a row was December 2018.
We’ve had 7 different managers (inc interims) since then.
This is Cristian Romero, a so-called “liability,” who has played in five finals in his career and won all five, with man-of-the-match performances. One of those being the biggest football game of all time.
He has also played in six semi-finals and won all six. The English media was quiet when in recent games, he was saving Tottenham. He is one of the main reasons they are not in the relegation zone right now.
This is the first season in which he has received two red cards in a Premier League season, and the first red card against Liverpool was not even for a tackle or a foul. Those so-called “journalists” came out yesterday like they were celebrating that this happened.
You can all keep talking, and we'll see how the narrative will be different by the summer during the World Cup.
