I sometimes think Cristiano suffers from his ability to speak English, they can always scapegoat him. They will never post this full context - Fabrizio, goal and espn will just go with the headline that fits their agenda and they know Messi fans will lap it up with numbers because of the perception they’ve created of Cristiano. Do you know millions of people that constantly say Cristiano disrespected the World Cup because he called it a 7-game competition without ever seeing this full context of him saying it in regards to his legacy.

I have never had an issue with people calling Messi the GOAT. I mean...If that's your view of football, fair enough. What I can't wrap my head around is why some people feel the need to downplay Ronaldo's career just to strengthen Messi's case or act like anyone who believes Ronaldo is the GOAT doesn't understand football. They're two all-time greats. No player, past or present, stands above both of them and which one you choose as the GOAT comes down to what you value most in football.

Portugal failed to qualify for the World Cup NINE times before Ronaldo’s debut. Infact they had a grand sum total of 3 qualifications since the WC began in 1930. No trophies either, nothing. Ronaldo took them to SIX World cups & won them 3 trophies.
