@Akintola_steve Lol, 😂 you just need to point him to the documentation. He should pick it up from there. We all learn everyday and I just want to add to the conversation with regards to security, it needs to be embedded into our system design and it should be non-negotiable.

Most of the time, it's not the backend. I think FE (Frontend) devs need to level up as well. Imagine, after my detailed thread yesterday explaining the security implications of using localStorage, the dev I'm working with claims he’s never integrated a backend API that uses request cookies. Now he’s lashing out in the Slack channel because every endpoint is returning 401 Unauthorized, simply because he’s doing it wrong. FE guys you people are Olodos, go and read! 😂

@tosinolaseinde I want to ask this question in a very respectful way because I respect you so much: Was any of your neighbours a Celestial church or Cherubim & Seraphim Church member?

I was 10 years old when we visited a house that was still under construction. I didn’t know there was an open well on the site, and I accidentally tripped and fell into it and let out a scream. But something incredible happened — a person in a white garment caught me mid-fall and pushed me back up to ground level. I know it sounds unbelievable, but I promise you, it truly happened. I will never forget that moment.

Can you share one of those moments where you knew, without a doubt, that only God could have made it happen?

@AdoraNwodo This is the best response ever in this issue. I have always made same analogy as the calculator. AI is a tool that should be embraced with caution, knowledge and capacity to assimilate. I have learnt more, understand things better with AI than anything else ever. Thank you

I completely understand and agree with your point. AI is raising real concerns about ownership and creativity. But I also think we need to evolve past the reflexive response of flagging AI usage as inherently bad or dishonest. We’ve been here before. When calculators were introduced, people feared they would “ruin” math skills. When Google search became popular, people worried students would stop learning. Yet, in both cases, the tools didn’t erase the value of human thinking, they enhanced it. The same is true for AI. These tools are being built for us. If billions of dollars are being poured into developing AI, it’s because we expect humans to use it, and not avoid it out of fear or moral panic. The presence of AI in a workflow should not automatically discredit the outcome. What matters now is not whether something was created with or without AI, but whether it communicates value. AI can help with structure, speed, and precision, but the intention, judgment, and voice still need to come from us. We need to move from a “gotcha, you used AI” mindset to a more nuanced question: “Does this content matter? Is it meaningful? Is it moving us forward?” In the end, tools don’t define the creator, the message does.

Hot take: AI is stealing from humans as much as it is giving. And we are letting it happen. Back in secondary school, the words absolutely, secondly, additionally, thus, moreover, henceforth, and furthermore were golden words used in debates, essays, and letter writing to…
