Every EVM token YOU hold has a fatal flaw built into its core. Not a bug. Not bad code. A broken standard. The ERC-20 approval mechanism is a ticking time bomb, and most of you have already approved contracts you've completely forgotten about. Here's what that actually means: Every time you interact with a dApp, you grant permission for that contract to access your tokens. Unlimited access in most cases. Those approvals don't expire. Ever. So that DeFi protocol you used 2 years ago? Still has full access to drain your wallet. That NFT mint site? Same thing. That random DEX aggregator? Yep. And if any of those contracts get exploited, you're done. This isn't theoretical. Over $1 billion was lost in 2024 alone from approval exploits and token-related hacks. The worst part? Users think they're being careful. They check contracts. They use hardware wallets. But none of that matters when you've got 47 active approvals sitting there like open doors. Meanwhile, chains with native asset models don't have this problem at all. MultiversX, Sui, Algorand. Native assets operate at the protocol level. No approvals needed. No unlimited access.
