@MallowTheQueen There’s too many runners with great movement abilities for this argument to carry any weight. 90% of fights are with the WSTR because of how easy it is for everybody to get in each others face and two tap a purple shield, so why play any other way? That is the real problem.

ngl this is a big reason why a heavy WSTR nerf feels unnecessary to me. In some situations it can be very strong, especially on Cryo. But majority of the time it dominates, it's down to people refusing to adapt to it. Enemy impatience is where the WSTR shines brightest

Our experiment is almost complete with the duos queue and we've gathered a lot of valuable information to help us finalize our plans for duos for Season 2. With the culmination of the duo experiment, we just wanted to thank everyone who has participated and helped us learn more about duos in Marathon, and tease that we're looking to bring the queue back better than ever in the course of Season 2. More details to come on that in future updates.
Details:
- On Wednesday 4/8 at 10 AM PT we will be disabling the "Outpost - Duos" Queue.
- There will be a new experimental queue starting on 4/15 at 10 PT. More details about this queue coming next week.
In regards to experiments, we have a new experimental queue we'll be running starting on 4/14. We'll have more information on this queue within the next week, and look forward to you joining us again to help us learn more about additional features we're interested in adding to our game.

Hey guys look! Its exactly what I said. I played badly, had no info on a full purple kit, pushed too hard. And got punished. It happens and you go again. Its an extraction shooter. That doesnt mean you are guaranteed to extract. It happens to all of us. We learn, we play better.
And not to mention since im sure itll be pointed out I fat fingered my grenade button thinking it was my melee button. I got flustered in the moment. Im not perfect but its part of the game. I could have played better to avoid this :D

ANOTHER MARATHON HOT TAKE: Base Knife doesnt need a nerf. It is the great equalizer. It should be able to kill a purple shield in three swings - ESPECIALLY with all three arachne upgrades. Just because you have purple kit doesnt mean you should be exempt from the fear of a knife! I lost 2 20k kits to free kits last night. Thats part of the game! I was careless and didnt check both corners. Yes it sucks. Yes I was pissed for well over 30 min. BUT ITS ON ME! ITS A SKILL ISSUE! BASE KNIFE ISNT THE ISSUE! Now I havent played around with enough mods to see how affective the knife can be on like Destroyer. But knife should be strong no matter what. If you cant kill a free kit knifer with purple kit you have positioned wrong and you deserve to die
