The Claims Commission will play a key role in upholding the principles of justice and accountability, thereby ensuring that victims receive fair compensation for the damages suffered as a result of Russia’s unprovoked aggression against Ukraine. I also commend the adoption of the resolution on ensuring accountability and justice in response to Russia’s continued attacks against civilians in Ukraine. Swift establishment of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine remains essential. We continue to work closely with the EU and its Member States to advance a just and lasting peace for Ukraine and the rest of Europe.
