If they are granted refugee status it becomes a legal entry. There’s far too much rhetoric around this and using the correct legal terms is best.

They're saying you can't completely tear up the planning rulebook and allow building over vital wildlife habitats. I live in rural Essex and this size of my village has more than tripled under EXISTING planning law... so why this now?

We have enough homes in the UK already... the problem is how those houses are distributed. We need more affordable and social housing - the Tories won't give you that.

They are there because of the socio-economic status of their parents which allows them to go to a private school and then an elite university where they make connections.

@Englebecius @Bazza315 @ShehabKhan Except people earning £100k or £150k aren't working 3 full time jobs. They're simply being paid a lot more per hour. OK maybe they choose to do 48, 50 or 60 hours but that still doesn't add up to 3 full time jobs.

@Bazza315 @ShehabKhan That’s not what I said, but if someone works 3 full time jobs on minimum wage they would be in the higher tax bracket…if someone works 3 part time jobs to make up full time hours they probably work just as hard as someone with 1 full time job

@Englebecius @SL69018390 @ShehabKhan Because schools, roads, police, military etc all need to be paid for... and it is only just and equitable that those with the broadest shoulders carry more of the load. I say this as a top rate of tax payer myself.

@KwasiKwarteng will the government be giving any clarity on the future BIK rates for salary sacrifice EV schemes? Employees looking to join schemes are typically signed up to 2-3 year leases and so it is vital that we have price certainty in terms of BIK rates into 2024/5.
