@LuopajarviJani @Starlink I can tell you why. I had Elisa cable 100Mbps, ~40e/month. When moving, got lied and forced to 70 Mbps over VDSL. Now forcing 5G instead. I don’t really understand why our local telcos want to ditch their competetive advantage (fixed cables) and compete with Starlink, but ok.

For centuries USA has had two party oligarchy masquerading as a democracy, and looking at Project 2025-within a year it is likely going to convert into one party state like China, but we’ll see. Europeans really are not big on democracy. They prefer others to make decisions for them, and then expect everyone to just go along because someone said so It's really an excellent example of how those who loved freedom left Europe to go to America and why there is such a strong sense of independence and rebelliousness in America, while the people in Europe just let themselves be ruled by the iron fist of tyrannical oppression because their ancestors never had the balls to go to the frontier and make it on their own European thinking breeds collectivism and tyrannical rule That's why America is so important and so dangerous to the ruling elite For humans to travel to another planet and strike out into the stars, humanity will need those fearless, independent heros to take the rush to settle Mars and beyond. We cannot become a two planet species by kissing the boot of authoritarian despots like are emerging in the UK, Canada, Australia, and across all Western liberal states.
