@andysc I've always used @AnkerOfficial - multiple purchases over approx a decade, and all bricks have been dropped, bashed and taken on hikes, and always continued to survive and deliver approx 4 phone charges on multiple iPhone models 😊

@wighthatmike @NodeRED ..DEFRA sources on that, and then it sort of spiraled from there. There is no specific #MQTT or technical secret to finding them, just googling beyond that 😊all that I used are in the pane on the right hand side of the map - if that helps, if more questions feel free to DM me!

Really enjoyed my latest hobby project, exposing every #realtime #API I could find via #MQTT (thanks @NodeRED!) and plotting them all on a React.js map of my local area 🌎 featuring: planes ✈️, trains 🚂, rainfall ☔️, water quality 🌊 and more 😃

@wighthatmike @NodeRED Sure thing 😊 it was inspired by living next to a railway line, and wondering if I could build something to accurately tell me when the next train would pass my house, so I found api.rtt.io - then I noted the sewage/pollution concerns in the news, so looked for 1/2

@calanais @NodeRED Thank you Matthew 😊 all of them are free, though most require sign up - api.rtt.io looks particularly tricky, but once you're through sign up it is a breeze. Some I could make use of more frequently with payment, but stayed on the free side for the moment

First dabble back into #nodered (and indeed Twitter!) for while led to setting up my #gloworb with @NationalGridESO Carbon Intensity API (atm high), and a matching push notification to my phone - inspired as ever by @andysc 😊 off to see what else I can do with this topical API..

@andysc This goes back to the onFocus/onBlur fundamentals - validate when the user leaves, not when they arrive! It's like your school teacher marking a maths question whilst you're still doing it 🤣

The micro-agression of this type of form field validation annoys me SO much! Punish me when I think I've done the task, if I've got it wrong, not while I'm still doing it! #UXfail

Myself and three colleagues have just tried to order lateral flow tests. We’ve all received the same answer Big problem from Wednesday if Covid passports come into force and those who haven’t been vaccinated can’t get a negative test as an alternative. @mrjamesob covering it.

Colleague tried to find a lateral flow test that could be collected. NHS website pointed towards Westminster Reference Library. None were available there. Sent to Boots on the Strand. None available. Then on to Superdrug. Also on the Strand. Same story:

@AndrewSparrow you can still access LFTs for collection: maps.test-and-trace.nhs.uk Seems loads of places near me - please share so people are not put off getting them! Thank you 😊
