@Gamingtronium Windows used to be the best for normal users, but with all the problems microsoft has caused, linux actually has less troubleshooting, and it is often as easy as copy pasting 2 command into your terminal
@vishaltweetup Atp linux has become so good that you can use it for everything. Only things that don't work is cad and creative software, for that windows and mac are better.
@piyush784066 Ubuntu i the simplest b it has some bloat and a small bit of telemetry. Mint is a great option but since you are a tech guy you might prefer a distro with more updates and the latest technology. Fedora is the bet option I think.
Need distro recommendation. My requirements:
-No spyware/telemetry/etc
-No bloatware/adware
-Stable - don't want to be not able to logon after some update or anything
-For daily use
-Don't want to spend too much time on making things work. Prefer most of things to work right away. Spending some hours is still fine.
I had some Linux experience and I'm tech guy. Just don't want to waste too much time.
@OfficialPCMR Installing linux is the best decision I ever made. My computer felt more snappy and all my apps and games worked with better performance too. Before you ask, I also play online competitive games with anti cheat. I also dont have to deal with windows crap anymore
@Samaira_twts Windows is preinstalled on every computer, thats why. Windows will not be dominating for a long time though. Its already at 60% marketshare. Last March it was at 71%. They dropped 11% in a year, and they are still dropping. Linux sooner or later will become the most used OS
Microsoft announced plans to lower the baseline memory footprint of Windows 11.
They want to reduce idle RAM usage by optimizing the operating system itself.
On a clean Windows 11 25H2 install, the OS typically uses around 3.3 GB at idle.
Real-world usage often climbs to 6 GB or more on 8 GB systems and over 10 GB on 16 GB systems due to background processes and features.
@raven55six@nalinrajput23 It has no use for you until you realise your tv, your router, maybe your phone, all your smart appliances and every website you have visited runs on linux.
@BuddersTheOne@ForzaHorizon You can buy it for less than 70€. eneba.com has the best deals. I have bought 5 games from there both for xbox and steam, and they are totally safe. You can find forza going for 45€. Check it out.
@ForzaHorizon Bruh wtf, the offroad tires arguably needed a refresh the most. What is with every improvement feeling like y'all look at the work being done and say "good enough" at 75%? The least you could do is refresh all the tire models when you have us paying $70 for the base game.
