@RichLowry IMO it has been a big mistake for Trump to assume "people can't handle the truth" about IRGC.

@RichLowry Wish Trump would discuss specifics on how Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz without a navy or air force. He avoids it because he does not want to discuss IRGC.

I don’t know how anyone can listen to that speech and conclude anything other than that Trump is a sincere and passionate Iran hawk The idea that he’s been pressured by a foreign government or lobby to sound like Curtis LeMay when talking about a regime that he clearly hates—and has hated for a very long time—is absurd

@EricLDaugh The key message I want to hear is that our AI and US-Israel intelligence will be staying in Iran for the foreseeable future. Israel will be there to continue targeted attacks based on intelligence after US military pulls out.

@GeraldoRivera IMO the war against "Iran" is done. However, "Iran" is not the real enemy. Enemy in Middle East are the global military-industrial cartels of IRGC, Hezbollah and Houthis. This is a much tougher war. But our AI intelligence will win there eventually also.

Say what? As of this afternoon, President Trump says he “doesn’t care” about Iran’s enriched uranium as long as it stays buried. Wasn’t this about them getting the bomb secretly using that buried uranium? Isn’t that still the single most important reason we went to war?

@GeraldoRivera I trust AI and US-Israel intelligence will stay in Iran for the foreseeable future. This is what has won the war. In addition. Israel military will stay there to do the surgical attacks based on intelligence. Relax Geraldo

@AmbJohnBolton AI, US and Israeli intelligence have won this war. They will stay there regardless. I'm OK if Trump pulls military out. Israel will continue to do the surgical attacks based on intelligence.

I think Trump doesn’t see an end in sight in Iran, which makes him nervous about the political implications of this war. I think he is likely to declare victory and pull everyone out.  If he did so with the Strait of Hormuz still closed, it would be a major strategic defeat for the United States. youtu.be/n__XxPNHpok?si…

@GeraldoRivera "Western World" support of Iran war does not matter. AI and combined US-Israel intelligence has won this war and is going nowhere. US military can "pullout" because Israel military surgical attack capability is all that is needed now and will remain.

@sentdefender US can safely "pullout" for two reasons. 1.) AI and combind US and Israel intelligence have won this war and both are remaining in Iran. 2.) Israell surgical military attacks will remain and only military needed to keep IRGC in check.

@WSJ @WSJopinion @gerardtbaker Good point. IMO commentators are way off regarding the Iran war. However everyone's ignoring the real enemy in IRGC; a global military-industrial cartel operating independently inside Iran is being missed by everyone. Fortunately not US Intelligence & particulary Bessent.

@DanFriedman81 In my opinion, the issue isn't "Iran". It's the IRGC operating independently within Iran. IRGC is a Global. Military-Industrial Cartel. Unfortunately a settlement not decimating the IRGC will result in the "Iran" issue sticking its head up soon again in the Middle East

Let’s make one thing clear: When the US and Israeli Air Forces have complete air superiority over your country and bomb your military infrastructure 10,000 times, you are not stronger after that. Iran has lost numerous generals and leaders, its entire Air Force, its navy, numerous munitions factories, between half and 90% of its ballistic missiles and Israel and the US continue to bomb hundreds of targets a day, completely unimpeded. It’s astonishing how many total nitwits are platformed to write the dumbest things imaginable in major publications.

@ka_grieco We have to define the enemy. The real enemy is IRGC. A global military-industrial cartel like Hezbollah. The combined military, intelligence, technology and logistics of the IRGC, Hezbollah & the Hoothis is awesome. US intelligence forces know it but has no model to defeat them.

ERIC BOLLING: The Saudis threatened to force majeure; think about that for one second. Force majeure means you cannot deliver. The second-highest oil-producing country says they can't deliver oil? They've got 7 million barrels flying through their pipeline right now! It's all BS. They're all in this. They know higher oil prices are good for the region. @ericbolling

@McFaul Putin has two strong cards he can play. The nuclear card is always there but in this case he knows he can play the oil and gas card to remind everyone Russia has a lot of power. Neither Wall Street, Trump nor Middle East neighbors want more disruption in oil & gas markets.

@elerianm Houthi involvement is discouraging. UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other countries joining US provides a basis for optimism. Recognizing the IRGC as the real enemy is key; clearly identifying it is a global military-industrial cartel controlling Iran's economy is necessary.

Regarding the economic and financial implications of the Middle East War: An unsettling short-term scenario for the global economy and markets is that the US may not be able to impose its will on the other primary combatants—Iran and Israel. In such a scenario, the range of potential "endpoints" widens considerably, and the path to most of them is volatile. #economy #markets #middleeastwar

@mitchellvii Agree with you. 10 more days benefits Trump more than Iran. The oil freighters allowed in the strait are primarily going to Pakistan who has the communication and negotiating channel with Iran. Better thanTurkey's Erdogan running the communications.

I think that President Trump knows that IRAN is not going to go for a peace deal. I mean, these are fanatics. They're madmen. I think what Trump is doing is using this as a pause to gather support of the other Arab nations and Europe's for a full-scale assault. If Trump had gone for maximum damage without at least trying for peace, he would have looked like a demagogue. But at least now he tried for peace. I'm willing to bet that behind the scenes, he's working with nations like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to put together a ground force to go into IRAN. There's no need for US boots on the ground.

Does Trump not understand that the tankers Iran is allowing to leave the Strait of Hormuz most likely finance Tehran's war against us? Are we allowing these tankers out so they can turn around and finance the killing of our servicemembers? This is a very serious issue. youtube.com/watch?v=wCKOg_…
