@TedSpurgeon1 I mail a lot. I am kicking myself for not having remembered to scoop a couple more rolls of P stamps last week for my domestic mailing since I go through those like candy. I semi-joke to folks that these are the highest return on investment items you can buy year to year.

Canada Post raises postage by 29 cents in the belief that this will bring in more money. It may do the opposite as people shun snail mail even more. I still have 40 “Permanent/Forever” stamps left on a roll of 100 bought many years ago. That’s forever at the rate I use them.

@tammyrobert No that was part of my point. This farm was a little bit of that back at the start that they were feeding people and thus Important. Funny that they stopped feeding people as soon as it made less money.

@tammyrobert We've always gotten our bird feeder seeds - mostly these tiny little shelled sunflower kernels - from companies that grow it here. I was surprised to find out how big a niche market bird seed was but it has better margins than the same seed stuff for people food.

@RriBye I can't even imagine answering anything beyond: is that a good size down or a bad size down? Weight loss is such a fraught topic, I hate the idea of making folks feel bad for things they worked on that are important to them!

Ladies, if you tell another woman you’re a size down and they reply “keep it up!” - do you think they mean something positive or negative? Like, “keep it up cuz you’re nowhere near done, lots to go!” is how I hear it. Or “don’t give up and screw it all up!” Just me?

I feel that we're in for four years of folks being astounded to discover that leopards eat faces. And there's going to be no joy in the schadenfreude, no glee in the "We told you so's", just the vague uneasiness of watching a predator gnaw on its prey.

@calmudge0n one of them is an 85ish yo man but the other maybes are parents of a 10yo girl in Texas. They voted Trump the last two times. Needless to say politics discussions get weird at family gatherings.
